Touch down...confirmed

went, and rode the loop in north ga mtn today, here's the result.

i finally put my knee down, my left knee first, i always leaned enough where i was on the edge of tire but this time i tried to even get off bike even more, and all the sudden this magical sound and feeling coming from my knee area. :hail: that sh*t felt like getting laid for the first time if you know what i mean that HAHA the right side was harder, but after that it just touched naturaly. im proud of myself. :fiddy:

Re: Touch down...confirmed

Dude I remember the first time I hit me knee... It scared the living shit out of me. But after that I couldnt get enough. Now I only ride canyons and track, just cruising around the city isnt fun anymore.

But congrats on finally getting it done

I was trying really hard at first but then I just said fuck it. I rode doing the normal things I would do I just tried going a lil faster on some turns and on other I would just pretty much drop the bike till the knee hit. Once you get it down once you kinda have a feel for how low you can actually get your bike.

Re: Touch down...confirmed

yeah the advice is, get off the fucking bike even more than you do now. i noticed the more i get off the bike ( one ass cheek on the seat, and my knee out ) i dont have to lean as much as i used to going even faster in a turn, before i scrapped my toe in some occasions, and last nite i havent at all getting off the bike more than before. plus controling bike with your bottom body helps a lot too, less stress on your hands. before i first touched my knee, i didnt plan on doing it, i was going for it, thats prolly why it touched, cause i wasnt trying to touch it

Re: Touch down...confirmed

When I first got my pants and tried to get my knee down, I went out to my favorite stretch of road and did it over and over and over and over....and over... and could not for the life of me get my knee to touch. Then I said fuck it, I'm going about this all wrong. I was concentrating so hard on getting my knee to hit the ground that I wasn't concentrating on actually riding the bike correctly and I wasn't going nearly as fast as before. So I decided to instead concentrate on using the right body position and to look through the turns like I should be doing and forget all about whether or not my knee was dragging. Sure enough, after a few more rides, I got my first scrape and it was such an awesome feeling. Now when I ride roads I know well there are certain corners where it just happens. Moral of the story I guess is that if you want to get your knee down, don't think about it, just ride lots and concentrate on using correct technique and eventually you'll feel that first little bump
