I had a K1 from new in 2001 and even back then I didn't rate the brakes as highly as those on the 2000 R1 I had before, which was irritating, as the K1 was significantly better than the R1 in every other respect.
I just bought a lovely used K1 which has had a master cylinder 'upgrade' (to a K5 radial) and the brakes are not great.
I read on another thread that PB improved a K1's braking distance significantly by fitting SV1000 K3 calipers, which are cheaply available used.
My question is, has anyone done this? If so, was it a bolt on job or was some fabrication required?
