    Other damaged bits;
    (1) scratch on R/H rear mirror.
    (2) scratch on exhaust pipe
    (3) L/H rear indicator light glass “popped” out of it’s place.
    lots of laughs, I'll post their pics.
    So what do you reckon bro? Is it an easy job to change the bits?
    I thought I'd buy the NZ Suzuki parts so I don't have to muck around, but thought I'd run that idea past you first.
    The NZ Suzuki part is black.
    Yep we lived opposite that moerewa pub during the school holidays also where my holiday girlfriend of 1972 was maria owens lol :)

    Hi bro,Broke the Body Cowling and Cowling Brace;
    - NZ Suzuki. BC=NZ$455.00 CB= NZ$285. Colour is black.
    - The local motorbike panel beater said, he could fix it, but it would fall apart after a few months because of the vibration.
    - BC=NZ$333.12 CB=NZ$226.33 @ motosport.com
    - Complete fairing and windscreen = NZ$440.00 @aliexpress.com
    - Racebody Kit= NZ$525.67 @ dhgate.com
    An Internet supplier makes me worry about delivery time and whether it will fit the bike properly.
    Not keen on the racebody kits because the bikes got to have the factory Suzuki and GSXR1000 signage, so people know to bow their heads with respect, when they see it parked outside the café lol.

    Hi bro, yep I lived in moerewa during the school holidays in 1971-74 with my uncle Arthur ashby. Witi waa is my dads name but he’s dead. Witi waa is my first cousins name and he works at affco nowadays. It’s my son’s name too lol. Yep I knew your old man was ngati hine. Yep that power from the GSXR is a buzz alright. Thanks for your offer about bits, my strategy is to explore trademe to find out who’s wrecking etc a K6 GSXR1000 at the moment. Then I should have cooled down enuf to look at my hurt gixxer unemotionally lol, and be able to draw up a list of whats broken etc lol. Check out the pics I posted 2nyt, its 11.53pm here so Im off 2 bed now. Goodnyt bro. Kupe.

    Hi bro, I’m from Ngati Rangi and our marae is called Ngawha near Ohaeawai. I’m from the Waa whanau. “GSXR MAORI” is an awesome name. Phew you can handle the power all right (GSX1100 at 16 etc) scientists reckon males take after their mums, so wheres your mum from? (to account for your power handling ?) I haven’t been online because the missus bought her first motorbike, a suzuki GN 250 for xmas 2011. She's clocked up 2500kms since. Yesterday, we were out sightseeing, her bike was on its sidestand, next to the gixxer which was on its sidestand. She went to sit on her bike and fell off and her bike knocked the gixxer into a concrete wall which broke a few things but I drove home. Her GN was unscratched but the gixxer needs some work and that’s how I ended up here following google links. Cheers Kupe.

    hey bro, Good to see that word Maori floating around this forum, I live in Wellington. My dad was a ngapuhi and my mum from tuwharetoa. I was born in 1959 in wanganui hospital. First Gixxer was a blue and white 1988 GSXR1100R which I owned back in 1989. Ive got a K61000 at the moment. Cheers bro and keep flying the flag.

    Hey GXSR Maori,

    Armi pointed me your way, I'm doing a front swap on a 96 600 srad, I have in mind750 srad triple, K6 1000 forks, 06 R1 calipers, My srad front wheel and rotors.

    Armai was saying he used a 1st gen Hyabusa front axle??? I'm guessing I should do the same... do you know the OD of the busa axle? and the ID of the K6 1000 forks?

    Any pionters would be greatly apprieciated

    Hey Jeff, these are the genuine fairings I painted up and had a sign writer make up the decals. I haven't had any experience with the Chinese stuff, sorry. If you need any help with the decals I think I have a few samples floating around. Wether it's worth it? I'm not sure as I'm having trouble selling this bike at the moment. Could be the colour.

    Your fairings are awesome! I'm actually looking to get a new set for my gsxr 600 sometime soon. Where do you recommend I should look for them? Did yours fit perfect? The only ones I came across is the Auctmarts but it's those Hong Kong fairings. Do you think it's worth it? Thanks
