to make a long story short they told me(after my first pass) if i trap over 120mph i need full leathers or id get kicked out.

i'm not a big drag racer, and maybe your fine.... but when i first went to the track on an 02 6 stock after 3 months riding I was at 11.3, 11.2
i never did any better cause i never drag race but just something to compare it to.
i'm sure you did perfectly fine though!!

its all about the launch...clutchin ur launch is how u get a great time...but for me it ain't worth is...burnin out a clutch could be expensive...if ya want a better time gear ur bike...

Not bad, strap down the front and lower it if you want a better 60'.......See ya next week

Yeah defiitely practice your launches.
And you won't burn out your clutch unless to slip that thing like a crazy person. I've put easily 50-75 passes on mine with no clutch problems. Just slip it to the 60ft mark and then be fully OFF the clutch.
If you're using the clutch to shift stop it. Thats easily worth a tenth. Clutchless shifting, let off the throttle for a split second and at the same time pop it up into gear.
And get a strap for the front. They're like 30 bucks, best money you'll ever spend for at the track. With your radial brakes, you'll need a bracket to get the strap to attach properly, I believe schnitz racing carries them.
Other then that just keep practicing.
Oh and get some full leathers so you can run the whole distance of the track. If not then go full out to the 1/8 mile mark and then let off. At least then your 1/8 mile times will be accurate then.
