Hate to say, but it's obvious I'm just not going to ever be able to ride this dam bike for more than a couple weeks without having serious problems come up!
The new engine is consuming oil and at a rapid rate. I am not going to to have two GSXR engines torn apart waiting to be put together while I have nothing to ride (again). All I wanted was something dependable to put around on for now. I couldn't really afford what I've done so far to the bike. Now I have to park it after a couple weeks of riding?
I'm sorry to say it, guys, but for as much as I love that bike and it is a part of me, I think I'm gonna have to sell it before she pukes again and I have nothing but boxes of parts and my wife standing there shaking her head. Fucking money pit!

I just don't have the time or energy to tear into to find out. It's not clacking like my 907 was so I don't think it'll grenade (maybe), prolly just old age - valves or cylinders. A friend from work said he'll let me borrow his leak-down tester to check.

I really want to get a Busa someday. But my plan was to wait a year or two since Kawasaki came out with their new 1400, Suzuki is sure to update the Busa shortly after. The wife is really getting sick of my bellyaching and I've only been home for a couple hours.

What do you guys think the chances are of doing damage are if I maintain the oil level and keep riding for a bit longer? I've got my Ranger tore down for a suspension rebuild/ clutch job/ painting and this bike is my main source of transportation.

Hell I got you all covered...I've owned mine since 1995 & NEVER ridden it! Unless you count into & out of the trailer & warming up in pit lane. My bro has logged some hard miles on her though. Soon enough,soon enough.
