I'm having a devil of a time adjusting the rear shock preload on an '05 GIXXER 1K. The adjustment rings are kinds recessed. I borrowed an adjuster that fits on a 3/8 drive, and that still slipped off constantly. Any suggestions/brands?

If you know where do you want to "screw" it then the best solution is to take the whole shock off the bike and do it on the table. Thats what I'm doing all the time and saves me a lot of hassle and my hands are in mint condition ;)
