: Balance Point?

People that are used to this bike....approx how high is the balance point on this bike since the engine is a little farther forward and the front swing arm.

Anybody have an idea?

I know I will find it by practice...but a little advice is nice too.

when the front wheel feels weightless..

LOL....i know that much. But I was curious to what angle the bike is usually at.

With these bikes is it close to 9oclock, 10?.......or closer to 12?

Looks and sounds to me like he was accelerating through that wheelie, IE: not at BP.

Additionally, the BP will change based on a variety of factors--most importantly: speed and body position.

BP is where your forks are parallel with the ground or a little higher. If you rock sit downs you can watch your forks to get a better idea. Hope you have good rear brake skillz. good luck.

I know I'm at BP or near it when I can't see directly in front of me; the tank blocks my view. Stand-up I don't have on lock yet.

BP differs by riders.

BP is no longer accelerating, past BP is slowing down

If your not getting them that high then your not at BP (imao). Im talking true BP. Not kinda constant but still creeping up in speed.l Im talking constant speed or decelerating not increasing. But if you disagree that's cool too, to each his own.

uh... all matters how far back your leaning, up/down a hill etc...

bp, is bp is bp.. there is no argument. Its balanced. Your pregnant or not big deal. When you ride wheelies for a distance you'll float in and out of it all day. its been lightyears since i've really cared about it any more, but i used to think bikes were only made for wheelies in the day.

bp is different for different speeds... bc of the force of the air resistance among other things such as rotating masses. if ur front wheel is rotating then the bp will be changing constantly until it stops(not drastically though) also with the increased speed comes reciprocating forces of the engine but more importantly the chain and rear srocket. weight distribution plays a major role also ... different bikes/speeds = different bp

haha, yet that's hardly needed, and it usually causes a lot of people to skip off the ground. for one, depending on the pipe, your tail section will hit b4 that will.

I was using sarcasm in regards to that being advice for a newb:D

You will also find that a lot of bikes scrape pipe first when taken over bp.

Here's a pic of my F4 just after getting it and not yet having a 12 bar on it.
