this actually happened last fall. I was in 6th gear at about 11k when I thought the clutch let go. instead it turns out it was the chain. actuallly I think the rear sprocket teeth broke, but either way its the same result. this is on a '96 gsxr 750. I decided to tear it apart during winter to have it powder coated and some engine work done. well, I finally got everything back together, started it up(sounds good), and I hear a clanking noise. I traced it to the trans I think, its coming from that area. has anyone else lost a chain, and what damage did it do? Ive already had the trans undercut and fixed once. not looking forward to spending that $$ again!!!:mad
