How much is the average insurance for a bike around 600cc. Whether it be a Gixxer, SV, EX etc...

I have coverage with progressive and annual policy is about $1400 year on the 2003 GSXR750 similar quote on 2003 GSXR1000 told my insurance broker and he just about fell off his chair he said he has not quoted full coverage on a GSXR of any displacement under $2000 annual in a very long time. I got quoted for $9000 per year from allstate . Just picked up a 03 750 gsxr and when I went to go get insurance I was turned down a few times from AAA and some other low key place. Progressive wanted $4000 a year for $1000 deductibles on collision and comp. I live in a suburb of Detroit which doesnt help, am 20 years old and have a ticket for speeding. Well this wasnt going to work so I was forced to go with PLPD, no comp no collision. My fingers are crossed to say the least.
