Will I need to change fuel when running this????
I don't have any pre ignition but just wondering if it will help any??
Say 100 octane or so?

If you are running a 02 1000 like I am assuming from your screen name you do not want to advance the timing at all it will hurt you more then help.

If you are wanting to play around with ignition and don't know for yourself what to do, I would stay away from it. Ignition changes are more dangerous than fuel changes especially if you are advancing.
If you are going to run higher octane than you can get away with more advancement, but you need to add fuel when doing so. Try +3 with some additional fuel and you should be ok (from my past experiences).
This would also be a better post in one of the performance forums.

Well after I put the advance in my times went from 10.118 at best to 9.955 at best. feels alot smoother as well.
I know what changing timing does and how far is too far, just wondering about fuel changes

I had my 01 1000 on the dyno and the map I had downloaded for it had +3 in it as well, my tuner pulled the timing out and picked up almost 4hp,so your times could be just getting used to it.

I can't tell you how many people I know that downloaded maps that don't work good at all. I'll take it to thedyno and see if there is any difference.

Well all this was actually after we had pulled every last HP out of it with a good A/F.He asled me if there was any timing in it and I told him I wasnt sure so he got in there and there was +3 at 100% throttle from 7grand all the way to redline,he then pulled out the timing and we gained the 3-4 HP.

Typically you will ALWAYS gain hp with timing AND fuel, but not always with just timing. Also, because of the efficiency at top end rpms you don't see as much gain when you add timing (top end gain)but rather you see great gains from say 6k-10k.
I did extensive tuning on my RC51 and the only way we could squeeze more hp out of her after the typical tuning was adding timing AND fuel.
Also, I've run +3 on three different bikes now with 92 or 93 octane with NO problems.
