I have a K5 600, i already have the lowering links installed on the rear and they are at the middle setting. and the front forks are 1.25 inchs lower. im starting to launch harder so i purchased a lowering strap for the front. it appears that it cant fit on the caliper mount like the guy showed me on a busa...

has anyone just purchased a long bolt about 9/16 is size and bolted the strap thru that?

also i live about 20miles from the strip and have no means to trailer my bike to the track. now with the rear lowering link all the way down would I be ok to ride to the track?

You need to either

A: make a bracket to bolt the strap to the top caliper bolt or

B: there is a bracket on the market you can buy that will allow you to bolt the strap to the caliper, but i have no idea who makes it.

As for the bike being on the lowest hole in the link, how much clearance do you have between the top of the tire and the undertray? And how rough or smooth is the ride to the track? And don't even think about takin a passenger.

If you are talking radial mounted calipers then Schnitz racing has two brackets for your front end. Brock makes one of those and is a lot nicer than the other, but it cost 60$.
