NHL Sends Memos, Video to Teams Warning Divers

NEW YORK (Feb. 27) -- The NHL promises to crack down on players who try to draw penalties by deliberately falling on the ice.
Colin Campbell, the league's director of hockey operations, sent memos and video tapes to general managers, coaches and players warning that diving would be monitored.
Players who embellish falls could be subject to fines and their names would be circulated on a list of offenders sent to all clubs.

or how about the Forsberg rule? that bastard is so strong on the puck but if he feels a slight tug on his jersey, he falls like he was just shot in the head!

Tucker was worse in Juniors. He's even skated by the ref not paying attention to who was around him and fell down. The WHL started calling diving before the NHL did and that was mainly because of Tucker. One of the linesmen got in trouble with the league because he'd skate by Tucker and hold up all ten fingers for the dive.

Hey JonRags...I thought about you this weekend when I heard that news bit during the game. I was laughing thinking about you and your Tucker comments. What team does he play for? I'm going to have to watch this guy in action!

He's on my beloved Leafs...Yeah he dives a lot trying to draw a penalty. I just can't understand why someone would do that????? I would be so embarassed of myself!
I must say, he is getting better!
