Go to a parking lot and practice more. Your head won't let you wheelie. I did the same thing. First gear power ups ... it will do it, but my mind kinda controlled my hand cuz it wanted to stay alive. I blamed the bike over and over again ... in the end my YZF600R wheelied just fine. It was me ;)

throttle it until you hit your power band, back off the throttle and nail it. you might want to take it slow though....should get it up for you though and you wont ruin your clutch. the only other thing you can do is bounce it. but you do want to sit as far back as possible and and keep your body still!

Get going in first and nail it. Then let off for a real quick and nail it again. She'll come up. Then work on how to do it better :)

ok without bouncing it throttle it to about 7000 rpms and then let off and nail it...you aren't even close to your power...these bikes don't have much low end torque...your power may be a little different but that should do it.

i got a 750 too. i'm just starting to learn how to wheelie too. i have to get to 8k or 9k in 1st. stay there for a second or two then i hit it. i didn't even know it was up tilll i felt it come down. at first i held the throttle for one second. then for two seconds, then three. everytime i'm getting further and further. also, i'm getting used to how it feels to be on one wheel. slow and steady slow and steady; you'll get it. that's what i'm going to do anyway.... ride safe.

The first gear whack it, let off and whack it again is how I have been doing it. If you sit at the very back and pull back you should get it up with no problem. I can do 1st gear all day I just would like to learn to do second gear wheelies and ultimately stand ups.

The best way to learn to stand it UP is to go in 2nd at about 55-60 mph, stand up on the pegs and bounce on the pegs and gas it. I promis it will work. you just have to grow some balls. im not saying your a sissy cuz we were all scared when we started but thats the only way to do it. I have a 600 and i can bounce it up in 4th gear, but i also dropped 1 tooth on the front sprocket.
