Question - is it easier to weigh the outside peg with the peg near your heel like that?

guys this is a great shot, Last year Timmy and I made a point to start riding with our finger tips and pushing the bars with our palms and let me tell you!!! night and day difference! the more relaxed you are the better you'll ride! if you guys have a subscription to roadracingworld check out that add with Tamada riding the honda last year and check out his hands..

that is a great shot for sure. that was one thing that was hurting me last season. my legs were too out of shape to hold myself on the bike properly so i held on with my upper body too tight. and i was getting some good headshake on a lot of turns because of it.. ive been running hard for about 6 months now so hopefully my legs will be good enough to hold me up now.. loose is good.

i guess - personal preference but I'm on toes no matter the turn. but the inside foot is planted against the frame to keep my toes from doing any kind of dragging.

I'm on my toes as well, but I'll start making a conscious effort to put that outside feel on the peg see how that goes.

i always try to hook the outside peg with my foot. and my foot placement is like you see in that picture, although he could still pass me with a blindfold on.. haha

personal preference + confidence....

add to that skills to pay da bills!

Folks, thats why he gets paid the big bucks and races the big bikes.

also think its a right hander so the left doesn't need to be doing much except feathering that clutch, right hand will be pushing more.

when they had the grip-cam on Nicky you can see him start to open the throttle barely while STILL on the brakes... good technique especially for those monsters
