: Suspension?

I've been around for awhile and never had any real problems doing wheelies, bouncing up being a prefered method for me. Recently,I started to mess around a bit more with my suspension settings, as I am getting more and more into twisties and doing more and more track riding. Currently, I am at two lines showing and 1 click out I believe from full on the front and I am at full in the rear. My bike feels INCREDIBLY stable with this set up; I am much faster.
Here is my question. Does a stiffer suspension promote easier bounce-ups? I have not noticed a new sense of ease when doing a bounce up. In fact, it almost seems like it requires more effort.

Usually Id just buy the bike and ride it whatever the suspension was set at but thenl I had to get the forks rebuilt.

Then I just went as stiff as possible and I like it. I don't bounce em up so cant help you there

I have a question that relates to this. My bike has a few things done to it suspension wise. It has RaceTech springs in the front (eventually want to put the stockers back in) to stiff for my weight, and my bikes lowered approx 2" in the rear. When I try the 1st gear method listed in the "wheelies 101" it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The other day I think I was at only around 6-7k on the tach and socked it and she came right up (really fast). Usually I'm around 8k or so and then I give her a handful. Usually the front end just gets really light. Now if I whack it off then back on that's a different story, but I don't like it. I'd rather find that sweet spot and crank on her so she comes up nice and smooth rather then harsh and unexpectedly. Any solutions? I don't believe I'm shifting my weight when I do them?

The reason is I saw a 600rr riding tonite when I was washing my car and as he went by I heard him start bringing the R's up then braaahhhh. He pulls the front wheel up like it's a bicycle, haha. Just want to know how much the suspension settings help/hurt the bike.
