Ok guys, im kinda new to the forum, but i have a 1997 gsx-r 750, geared with -1/+2. Now i have a few problems maybe some of you could help.

I just started getting the wheel off the ground and maybe 3 ft in the air, by clutching first. but from what i have read, especially a geared 750 shouldnt need to be in first and, should for sure come up in 2nd by clutching it.

Now heres the problem's. #1 i get ALOT of tire spin (causing my front tire to NOT come up) but to just spin the rear. #2 I noticed whenever i try to power wheelie (usually first) or clutch it (1st or 2nd) that the front suspension flys up ALOT , but the tire does not or barely does.

Now should i replace my tire and maybe get something better, something that really is sticky (M Pilots?) and #2 should i adjust the rebound of the bike (i belive thats what its called) so that the suspension dont have to come up as much, before the tire does?

Thanks for the info guys.

i would first try and readjust the suspension a lil softer compression and then if that no workie then look for a sticker tire... turn the rebound down a lil in the front and also position ur ass at the rear of the seat with arms equal length... this is for a starter, not meant for an experienced stunter....

make yourself weightless for a split second by doing a little bounce, starboyz style, that way the bike will be operating as if you werent even there, which is a pretty wheelie-able situation.
older, heavier bikes arent balanced the same as the new ones, so your body position plays a huge role as well. if your rear tire is burning out, get a softer one. your suspension shouldnt be too soft or too hard, kindof inbetween. good rebound will assist the wheelie.
