OK Need to confirm numbers.

I just spoke to Dave at Motoconcepts. There has been an overwhelming response to the cheap track day. ( Also Saturday was a big no show for him - 27 ppl total so I think some ppl are wanting to make up for it ).

He has people begging him to get on the track Thursday. I already released the 2 spots that Steve has cancelled.

So anyways this is what I have so far :

Me
Steve1234 - GROUP ??
SyMBi0TiK - Group C
Alchemist - Group C

That's 4.

Steve, have you booked separately ? Dave said he had another booking for Steve attached to my name ?? Can you PM me your full name ? Also please confirm group.

Need to confirm everything with Motoconcepts today.

Thanks

Zed I sent you my details.

I'll be in B group. My number is 0414 397 476 if any one needs me, (Call me call me now......)

Sym, might be an idea to back your car into the garage..... We can look for your car and ride into the garage from the other end.

Could the other steve be someone else from the board??

I'll keep an eye on the board to make sure the booking is fine, if there are any probs email me at steven@phcollections.com.au

in that case you will be looking for a white 121 with a small block chev innit and a bug catcher bout a foot above the bonnet....dual exhaust outlets on the right rear passenger side door, mini tubs and wheelie bars (which could be hard to see because theres a trailer) the dead give away is the parachute on the back of teh trailer! you cant miss it!

Ok, so who's taking the camera and tank cam? Do you have heeps of bateries and tapes? If it works on the bikes, can we all get a go???

Is sym the only one driving? Will you be taking spare seats for everyone?
If there are no seats for us, can whoever gets there early pinch, I mean borrow, some from the canteen before the women that run the shop get there.... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

How will we find one another?

You may have missed my other post but sadly my camera is out of action http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

It was supposed to be collected today by a contact I have in service but he didn't show.

Either way I don't think it would have been ready by Thursday. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

As for meeting up - relax - it was easier than we thought last time.
Symb usually arrives just before the sun comes up http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif so he grabs a garage.
I think he mentioned a preference for 44 / 45.
Now that we have your mobile I'm sure someone will let you know.

Just rock up in the scrut area and you'll prolly see someone or something you recognise straight away.

Here's some help .....

Since I will be there early with Sym., look for the 121, and then look in that garage for my Nankai Lucky Strike Suzuki leathers.

Is anyone taking a digi cam?

So you didn't manage to sell the leathers then Dean?

SyMBi0TiK

i got no camera....
what i do have is a white 121 with a dark grey trailer....
yellow/black gix6....
i will most likely get garage 44 or 45....
and i put the car/trailer in the garage....
so thats how you can tell if its the right garage....
dean.... make sure you bring the tools we need to fix the suspension....
the stuff we couldnt change last time....
i think it is a bit weird with the slicks on there....
it didnt feel right today.... might have to redo the front....

Tech Doctor

Culler - Nah didn't sell 'em. Thought that if I sell those ones, I'd kick myself because I'd never beable to replace them. Ever.

Sym - I don't have a shock spanner for the gixxer's at the moment. What do you mean that it didn't feel right? Remember that slicks do handle completely differently to road tyres.

Dean.

it felt like i had no suspension....
i think its just because it was a bumpy road and im used to a nice smooth racetrack....
i dont know....
we can see on the day....
what exactly is that we need....
maybe i can find one before the day....

Any Suzuki dealership should have a shock spanner in stock. Don't know about price.

Is there anyone going to the track on thursday that has one that they can bring along?

Dean.

culler

Really? the last time I asked that at a Suzuki dealer, they said "just go to your hardware shop and get a c-spanner" http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

02-25-2003, 07:27 PM
and from what ican rememeber they are reasonably priced too!!!, you could probably leave the lube behind when u go in to get one....

yeh nolz, the last time i saw one in the hardware store, it had a $60 price tag, why dont one of you go to the local wreckers, ie Eastern creek motorcycle wreckers and get one off a tool kit?

Alchemist
02-26-2003, 01:38 AM
I have my tool kit which has the shock spanner. In addition I've got one for an Ohlins (on the 916) and I think an old one for a WhitePower shock. I'll bring them out tomorrow. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You got one with your GSX-R? Weird, I didn't, just the odd spanner here and there for adjusting chain tension and a screwdriver.

Pretty sure, maybe not. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I must admit I don't pay much attention to the toolkit but I thought I saw one in there. Will defintely have some sort of C spanner at home though.

But I reserve the right to be humiliated and laughed at by all and sundery if I don't. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bounce.gif
