I managed to scan the slides we got from the photo shoot for SF 105 http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
Breif spec is - '85 750 G,Kwack ZXR750 Forks & Yokes ( with gixxer stem ) , Kwack ZX6R front & rear wheels , PFM 320mm Cast Iron rotors, one off pipe , harris seat unit on one off subframe, 1100J carbs with K&N's .

It kicked over 100 RWHP , and , as it was virtually anorexic and retained the ( ultra short) G swingarm -it was completely mental to ride ! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif

I love the way that header looks! The whole bike looks awesome actually... but everytime I think about building mine into a `fighter then I start thinking I'll need another bike (with a windscreen) for those 500+ mile days I do in the summer time.

Do you have any close-up or detail shots of that instrument-cluster? It looks like someone did a sweet one-off for the cover on the back of the gages...

Hi fastcat - the headers are 'Nexxus' items in polished stainless steel. the rest of the system has been fabricated .

here's a close up of the instument pod ( sorry for the poor quality !) - I made it for my bro out of sheet ally , we made the face plate first , then shaped the cowl around it and welded it up , we cleaned up the welded areas then polished it - then i made a plate for the bottom , which attaches by screws for access to the instruments.

The Tacho is from a GSX600F ( Katana 600 over there ! ) and the digital speedo is a Sigma push bike jobbie ( cost around £20 ! ) - it's accurate upto 180mph and even records max speed , and has trip & odometer functions - it was mounted by brackets from behind the face plate so that only the window and mode buttons were on view - we used 'ultra brite' LED's for the warning lights .

soon after the bike was featured in the magazine - the whole lot was replaced with a new assy , housing an ultra trick 'S.P.A' combined digital tacho / digital speedo
click here to see it ! (http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/tachometers.htm)

i wish i had a pic of that , that was trick !

Oh yeah! I was drooling over the "Spa" units a while back - too rich for my checkbook though http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I did a very similar setup on my bike with the sigma and LED's but I stopped at the faceplate - no backing just used "goop" to seal everything up as well as I could.

I never did figure out how to make my own three-stage shift-light like the SPA unit has... I get lost with electronics once I get past voltage and wattage... ANYway, that's a *sweet-looking* ride! I can't wait to see that 2nd-gen bike finished (the one you're fitting the late-model tailsection to).
