About 30 miles south of Minneapolis in the Lakeville area. I heard theres some Busa guys in the area. I am leaving CO in about 3 weeks and will be bringing my 01 1k. So tell a brother where the hot rides are? I heard following the river is kind of twisty?

You're coming to a colder winter, but the WI and MN roads amke up for it. CO might have some better roads though. Less people. Highway 394 and Louisiana BLVD Fri. and Sat. nights at 9:00PM I think a bunch of rockets get together and people wipe out every ride. I haven't been yet, so I guess I shouldn't write. I've heard a lot of stories. There's a drag strip seventy miles West on 212 called Grove Creek http://www.grovecreek.com. We'll have to get a gixxer.com MN ride going this spring. It's -1 today and -10 tomorrow, so I don't think it's going to be soon. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/sleep.gif

Riding down the St Croix river (border of MN and WI) is about the best riding in the immediate area. In fact, that whole area from Hastings south is really pretty decent. You won't be too far away. Also, the first Thursday of every month, there's a small pizza joint in Minneapolis where riders of all sizes and shapes, makes and models get together and hang out.
If you want to meet a group of people from MN, check out this forum. (http://www.sportbikes.ws/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=104) I know a few of the people there, they seem pretty cool.

It was snowing through April last year and fifties up to June. It's not looking good so far this year. Yeah, if you want to hook up with a large group and watch people wipe out, it's fun. LOL

Spring thaw is still 1.5 months out usually. Mid April.
Last spring was brutal. it went from winter to summer. we only had just a few days of transition. Highs in the 30's one week and in the 70's the next.
When do you arrive here?

You're about 45 minutes south of me. Right down Hwy 52. You'll want to look for Hwy 60 east just north of you. It goes from 52 all the way to Wabasha on the St Croix river. It a real fun road! there's also lot's of county roads that split off from there.

I live in Burnsville, just north of Lakeville off of 35E. I've also got an '01 1k. .... a nice ride is 94 east to 95 North and fool around by the river, cross over into WI, head south and cross back into MN near Hastings and then take 42 west out to Lakeville.
