: shogun sliders!
MotoMummy 04-18-2006, 11:32 AM These are the CUT kits for the 06 600/750. they will come with shogun bar ends and spools. They will sell for 80 dollars TO YOUR DOOR!
Here are the requested pictures also. I know you guys have been asking for these...pm me if you would like to buy them. I have them on the way and will be stocking these items...No Cut kits are a good ways out so this is the best option i know of at the moment. post up for details/questions if you have any...
CSiJason 04-18-2006, 12:12 PM I'm confused, I thought the no-cut kits were going to be $80 and these were less?
DieselDan 04-18-2006, 12:56 PM I want the no cut sliders. PM when they are ready I am ready to buy
thanx
MotoMummy 04-18-2006, 12:59 PM the no cut kits will cost more because they will require a bracket and lots more research/design. these are the cut kits WITH bar ends and swingarm spools/sliders also...
this is a complete crash kit w/ frame sliders that require cutting of the plastics...it's the only thing shogun has out there. i don't think anyone has a no cut kit right now. the nice thing about a cut kit is that they are cheaper and that they do give more protection as they are stronger in a crash than a no cut kit.
MotoMummy 04-18-2006, 01:00 PM i believe it's a few months out on no cut sliders
DieselDan 04-18-2006, 01:08 PM Thanx mummy
SONIC7 04-18-2006, 01:11 PM Why are the sliders so short? They look as long as the swing arm slider/spools.
Those will grind down as soon as the bike hits the ground. Shogun used to make them longer than that, why the change?
MotoMummy 04-18-2006, 01:17 PM shogun will not make sliders that go out past the footpegs because if they are it's more likely to pitch the bike and send it tumbling. this way it will be more likely to slide. the maker of shogun use to race and only tosses out products he's 100% confident with. it's a stand up product man...
hope this explains
SONIC7 04-18-2006, 02:06 PM On my R6 they used to be double the length of those and they are Shogun, that's why I'm asking. You see, even with the length they were at before a 10-20 foot lowside would grind them down halfway. Those won't last a second.
Are the bar ends weights? Or are they just plastic?
random hero 04-18-2006, 04:36 PM in my opinion, these "no cut" sliders wont be near as sturdy.. i dont care what kind of bracket it is.. nothing will be as strong as a slider mounted directly to the engine bolt, i wouldnt bother w/the no cut, it took me 20 mintues to cut the one side... its better that having some bracket on a slider break off in a crash and strip out the motor mount, just my 2 cents
MotoMummy 04-18-2006, 05:30 PM random hero you are correct. i agree 101%
sonic: they are not plastic but delrin. they won't last a second?, but many racers use shogun for a reason. they aren't designed to save your plastics bro. they will help, but they are there to save the more spendy parts. don't expect something out of a product when it's not designed to even do that.
your r6 also had the frame that didn't stick out as far because they were still level with the rearset pegs...each bike is diff you see and the length means nothing. if he made them longer to save your "plastics" the odds are they would catch, flip the bike, destroy it all...that's why he doesn't make them long. length does not equal quality AT ALL. if they are too long they flip the bike. i covered why they aren't longer and past the footpegs earlier.
MotoMummy 04-18-2006, 05:59 PM now on the website guys under shogun. as always free shipping...
79.99
CSiJason 04-19-2006, 02:05 AM I already have bar ends and swingarm sliders/spools. How much for JUST the frame sliders? I'm debating if I want to keep my Woodcraft now that i've discovered the 2" hole crap after they came.
SONIC7 04-19-2006, 09:25 AM sonic: they are not plastic but delrin. they won't last a second?, but many racers use shogun for a reason. they aren't designed to save your plastics bro. they will help, but they are there to save the more spendy parts. don't expect something out of a product when it's not designed to even do that.

I ride track too and have wiped out, hence the 20 foot lowsides, and know they don't save you fairings. What I didn't know was the purpose would be if they are so short, but I guess Shoguns theory is they shouldn't stick out further than the pegs so they don't catch and flip the bike. But plastic, delrin or what ever they're made of, at that length they're gonna grind right down, along with your covers. With the shoguns on my R6, which are probably delrin also and ground down almost to the end, the covers were barely got scratched, both times that I crashed, which I believe was a result of having longer sliders.
This is just my opinion.
But I am interested in the bar ends. Are they Delrin or are they weighted?
MotoMummy 04-19-2006, 10:35 AM delrin is what they are all made out of...the r6 was probably longer because the pegs were out further compared to where the slider mounts, ie it can be longer w/o protruding past the pegs. each bike will be different on how long the slider can be before it shoots past the pegs
SONIC7 04-19-2006, 10:44 AM So are the bar ends delrin also or are they weighted bar ends?
MotoMummy 04-19-2006, 11:24 AM delrin
jl6630 04-19-2006, 08:38 PM where can i find them for $80. the best price i have seen is $119. are weighted bar ends better? or does it not matter

Mummy...for the shoguns do you have to cut up both sides? I know the woodcrafts need a 2" hole on each side, just wondering if the shoguns are the same. Also, anyway i can order just the sliders and not the bar ends/swingarm sliders?
dfwjr 04-20-2006, 02:02 PM Ordered. Thank you!!!
jl6630 04-20-2006, 03:39 PM me to. thanx
TheCunningMan 04-20-2006, 04:43 PM It looks like the slider would have to be removed to get the fairing off. Is that just the angle of the pics?
MotoMummy 04-20-2006, 05:54 PM i haven't had a chance to install them myself yet so i don't know if it's one side or both. i just know they are going out the door like crazy ;)
