Bikes are very good these days. The only way to significantly increase horsepower is by raising engine compression.

The only true, realisable benefit to having the ECU mapped is to gain an improvement in throttle response. As a racer, I'll take that for the $300 or so most places charge for a half-day of tuning. :D

Doesn't the 600 only require 87? Couldn't you gain some power by adding some timing and running 93? 7 hp in the mid range doesnt sound to bad.

higher octane does nothing without compression. When you raise the comp. you have to raise the octane level. Higher compression = the need for higher octane. It’s just a waste of $$$$ otherwise
