I just purchased my bike about two weeks ago. It has began to tick and its really bothering me because I feel as if I broke it in wrong.. or did something to it that I wasn't suppose to. Do I need to get the valves adjusted? I already took it in to get its 600 mile tune up and they changed the oil and what not but they didnt adjust the valves. They checked them but they didn't adjust.

Please help me out. You can hear it while your riding.. and as you get into the upper RPMs.

Thanks
-Matt

On older bikes, ticking from the top-end, increasing with rpm, usually signifies a cam-chain problem: either a loose chain or bad tensioner. I'm not sure if that translates for the 06's, but it could be somewhere to start.

Actually, it's under warranty, right? How many miles since the last service? I'd suggest taking it to the dealership and swearing at them (j/k) till they make it right.

I just want to know if its fixable. It's annoying while riding and it worries me that there is something wrong with it. :(

I just assumed it was the injectors firing, but that doesn't mean I like the sound.

it is just the valves no reason to worry if it bothers you that much go and check it out. You paid for the warranty so use it

warranty ain't do nothing... me, and some other guys did that, they were told the same - it's fine, go drive the bike. it's chain on the right side, not valves... don't worry, just do your brake in and drive it...
