: Quoted $9,200 OTD on 600
R6slayer 04-15-2006, 02:29 PM Hey guys. I'm in the Atlanta area and Cycle Nation near Road Atlanta quoted me $9,200 out the door on a new 600. This IS including tax, tag, title. Is this good? He said he was giving me the bike for $8500 plus 7% tax, $149 doc fee, and title fees...no freight. Seems a bit high, but not sure once you add tax.
Help a desperate to get riding brother out!!!:cheers
drtymex 04-15-2006, 02:31 PM 8700 otd and that'll be a good price...
SH0RTBUS 04-15-2006, 02:34 PM Still too high. Check the prices we can get here: http://www.bartlesvillecyclesports.com/miscpage_001.asp?sid=0602276X2K3K2005J3I40I58JPMQ9 99R0
GSXR600 - $7699
GSXR750 - $8699
There is a $60 fee for financing.
R6slayer 04-15-2006, 02:40 PM That Dealership is all the way in Oklahoma! I'd be back where I am now just to have it shipped! And those say the discount is only for cash paying customers, I'll be financing w/ Suzuki.
The problem is, after reading others' posts, people are confusing the term "out the door". I can't tell if everyone is getting their prices before tax tag title, or after. This guy is only discounting 200 off MSRP, but that's cheaper than I've found elsewhere in GA.
R6slayer 04-15-2006, 03:11 PM The other dealership close to here, Mountain Adventures, just quoted me MSRP plus $300 freight, plus tax. That's nearly $500 more than the other store!!!! I think I'm gonna be screwed unless I can have something shipped here super cheap. I understand the supply/demand thing, but this is getting pretty gay.
06'750 04-15-2006, 04:29 PM I was quoted at 8800$ otd for the 600 and 9700$ otd for the 750
R6slayer 04-15-2006, 05:18 PM Where?
lexpression02 04-15-2006, 06:38 PM hey slayer. unless your interested in going far out of state and shipping the bike expect to pay around $9200. i got mine for $9k out the door here in knoxville and i considered myself lucky. everyone is going to post about how cheap you can get them in ohio, cal, oklahoma but it doesnt really help esp since your in atlanta. thats not a bad price, try to get them to throw in a gift certificate or something to bring it closer to 9k (i got 100$ gift cert. when i got mine :)) sucks because there isnt much dealer compition in my area plus the bikes are still so new they're pretty much selling themselves. another local dealer was trying to get 800$ over retail and they kept tellin me i wouldnt find it for retail (i did) and the sad thing is im sure someone bought it. point of all this, just try to bring it closer to $9k with dealer goodies. they usually dont mind because they know you have spend it at their shop.
R6slayer 04-15-2006, 06:49 PM thanks alot lex....i appreciate your feedback. it makes me feel a little bit better.
there is a huge sportbike market here in georgia, which probably is the reason everything is going for msrp. i just hate seeing all the good deals everybody else is getting.

iflyjets86 04-15-2006, 09:55 PM i got mine for that price. just get it and ride already. whats 4 dollars more a month?
mm2654 04-16-2006, 09:20 AM I paid 9200 otd for mine @ metrocycles which is just west of the city, but that was a lot better than a lot of the offers i got from other dealers in Ga
el_roy1985 04-16-2006, 01:42 PM 8900 OTD for mine. Yes, that includes taxes.
onepointone 04-16-2006, 08:49 PM i paid $9100 OTD with a helmet for the woman thrown in. but i also bought mine at a dealer where they had sold 3 of them prior to mine before they even left the crate. mine had gotten to the dealer the day before, and it was still sitting in the crate as well. i shopped around at 2 other dealers, and they couldnt even keep them in stock, but they quoted me higher prices. i say $9200 otd isnt BAD, ive seen people get worse. just try to get them to throw something in, like a helmet, or a gift card like someone else said.
leadpipe 04-16-2006, 10:15 PM I was quoted $8400 for 600cc and $9600 for 750cc cash thats including everything(otd) I live in Indiana.

damn, thats pretty bad. there is a guy on a local forum that paid 12.5k for a 06 600rr. he got an extended warranty and some gear 'thrown in'. he wasnt even far away. i was quoted 9.2k for that same bike at another local honda dealer.
it DEFINATELY helps to shop around. check ebay. sometimes i see bikes going on there that are brand new. they will even ship the bike to you.
