Ive had this bike for almost a year now. Ive clutch wheelied it in 2nd 4 or 5 times, no problems yet, but I was wondering if someone could give me step by step info on the right way to do it? (on a 05-06 gsxr 1000 only)

Thats a damn nice/big bike to be learning on. But if you search you can find info on clutching em up. If you have specific questions then ask, But thats too general. Its been asked many times.:cheers

Clutching on one bike is the same as every other bike.

Its not the first bike im learning on. Its the first 05 gsxr 1000 im learning on. Any input would be great. ( Its kinda like when you wanna put the best oil in your bike, you know what oil is the best and how to change it, but you still would like to see what others do. )

I here ya. So as not spell out everything, what can you already do? Do you have brake control or can you at the least use the brake in survival reactions instead of just throttle. Basically give me a run down as to what you already do and know.:cheers

I dont have brake control down yet, just in survival mode. So far it seems if i have to put the front down there is enough engine brake when i let off the throtle to bring it down. But im well aware of how pros use the brake and gas to keep her up, I just havent got that far yet. Right now im just getting use to the balance point and clutching up. But I was just wondering what the best way to cluch up is, rpm, how much throtle to give it, should I be locking my legs to the tank, should I be practicing it standing, should I pull the clutch with one finger, should i be dumping the clutch, and again whats the best rpm to let the clutch out, and should I be giving it gas when I let it out? Thanx for the input guys.

I think stand ups are easier to learn then sit down wheelies. I never use the clutch on my 05 gsxr 1000 and with a good bounce about 80-90 I can bring it up in third (stand up wheelie). I learned and am still learning on this bike. I do not do stand on peg burnouts anymore after my rear tire hooked up on me once, was not pretty, felt like I was in the rodeo riding one of those 2000 pound bulls, but my buddy thought it was pretty damn funny.

+1 on the ease of stand-ups comparison... much better perception and awareness.. rather than "hiding" behind the machine!
