does anyone know from Oz if you can buy a tre loom so you can just connect it up instead of cutting and chopping wires?I,m not real fond of that idea,,,,anywhere in australia would be appreciated....thanks guys

no where to buy it in OZ, well none that i know of, your best bet is to go over to the 1K forum and look up JEFFW buy it from him online....what model GSXR do u have? symbiotik may seel you his....he doesnt like it but for me on my 98 750 it transformed my bike....

oh really? and why would that be?

he has an akra full system and you only have a bolt on and you both returned the same HP figures....i mean surely a full system over a bolt on has to show more of a benefit than just a weight saving.....or that movistar scheme of yours is good for some serious HP http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

yeah...and so i looked at your dyno post again cos you are getting all bent out of shape, to see there is a 2 hp difference between the bikes.....2 HP and alot of money, i just cant beleive that a full system and powercommander arent worth a bit more in terms of hp.....either you have an extremely healthy bike or the other 600 has been robbed a few ponies.....

The trouble is, apart from dyno operators "fudging" results, all dynos read differently. The only way you can really gauge any performance enhancements on your bike is to do "before and after" dyno runs, and measure the difference.

Eg. I've dynoed my 750 (w/bolt-on) here in Perth, and I got 107.5 hp.

well i have always been told that the biggest gains are gotten from getting rid of the stock can and putting on a straight through bolt on....
the rest of the system only nets you about 2-3 extra hp on a 600.... the biggest advantage from the system is the weight saving....
so the figures may not be that far fetched....
the figure with my bolt on could have been similar to repsols....
you also get differences in figures from dyno to dyno....
i bet you if you rode my bike and then repsols and cullers.... you would feel a massive difference irrespective of the figures....
the TRE takes away lot of the engine braking which i use alot on the track and the road....
i have turned it on for all of about 30 mins in the few months ive had it....

Yep they all read a fair bit dif, when I took mine to Dynotime I got 119.something after the remap

HondaShop in Midland runs "dyno days", get a bunch of friends together, pay $20 each and get your bike dynoed, just 1 run, plus a sausage sizzle. I got it dynoed there with 20 other WAR guys, I got top 750 http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif (out of the 3 that were there, mine, a ZX-7R and a 01 GSX-R750)

p.s. for other dyno info for peeps, temperature, humidity can also thow figures of a fair bit. Most important tho is that if you have a remap etc is that you see a better air/fuel mix, that will lead to a better bike.

are the connectors the same on the SRAD ( brads bike) and the new gen Gixxers? ( GSXRBOY) ?

A year ago I bought all the little bits to make up my own TRE, including a jiffy box and switches, I was going to mount it on the bars and all. I installed the switches into the jiffy box, but then I got all slack and never finished it lol
