: Finally got my 750!!!
Here she is! Already removed the stickers, reflectors, and made my own custom fender eliminator. Today I installed my Scorpio i500SE alarm, my Taidden Garage Door Opener, and my MTEC x2 yellow H9 130watt headlight bulb. I can only rev her to 7500 rpm but she is awesome already. Can't wait to feel the powerband! This is a pic when I first saw her on the showroom floor.
another pic. This is my first ride off the lot with her.
even got my new sticker on there.
got 133 miles on her so far. She handles like a dream and has lots of power down low. Extremely nimble and handles just like a 600 IMO. Changed the oil today. Quite a bit of metal in the oil. I'll change it again at 500 and go synthetic at 1000-2000 miles.
DieselDan 04-04-2006, 03:28 AM Freakin awesome bro, good for you!
How did ya make the fender eliminator?
NEVACME 04-04-2006, 04:20 AM thats a sweet bike..luvin the decal

Freakin awesome bro, good for you!
How did ya make the fender eliminator?
Thanks all!
I made the fender elim by of course removing the old one and making two little aluminum brackets to fit in the front two holes. With some spare 1/16" aluminum, a dremel tool, tin snips, file, and patience I got two brackets to hold my plate. I will add a LED light and paint the bolts and new brackets black here soon.
MCKINNEY750 04-04-2006, 12:30 PM you should sand down the brackets and paint them black to match.
IllmicIll 04-04-2006, 12:46 PM i like that sticker!
madmio 04-04-2006, 05:45 PM Yeah, that little sticker is cool. :)
Yeah, that little sticker is cool. :)

Here's another picture of the bike I shot today.

Q: What's the third most common cause of engine problems ???
A: Not changing the oil soon enough after the engine is first run !!
Change Your Oil Right Away !!
The best thing you can do for your engine is to change your oil and filter after the first 20 miles. Most of the wearing in process happens immediately, creating a lot of metal in the oil. Plus, the amount of leftover machining chips and other crud left behind in the manufacturing process is simply amazing !! You want to flush that stuff out before it gets recycled and embedded in the transmission gears, and oil pump etc...
Why do the manufacturers recommend waiting until 600 miles to
flush out all the loose metal ???
This is a good question ...
There's a very small window of opportunity to get the rings to seal really well ... the first 20 miles !!
If the rings aren't forced against the walls soon enough, they'll use up the roughness before they fully seat. Once that happens there is no solution but to re hone the cylinders, install new rings and start over again.
Fortunately, most new sportbike owners can't resist the urge to "open it up" once or twice,
which is why more engines don't have this problem !!
GixxFix 04-04-2006, 08:22 PM Get out and RUN THAT BIKE Hard for 10 Min or so then Change that Oil !
And never cheap out on the filter.....
K&N 138 Should be the 750's also like the 1000
Avoid This Filter

Yeah I planned on doing that this weekend!
Jorge13 04-05-2006, 12:33 AM How do you feel the rider position ?
How do you feel the rider position ?
You mean, "how does the riding position feel?"
It feels great! To me it feels the same as a friend of mine's 03 R6 but maybe a bit more relaxed. I love the adjustable rear sets and shifter. That helps to customize my position. The seat is a little harder than the 03 R6 though. Might have to get a gel seat later. :D
andyb750 04-05-2006, 10:12 AM Where did you get the sticker? I am waiting on my yellow/black.
Gixxer354 04-05-2006, 12:50 PM Can someone tell me how to make your own fender eliminator. I have a gsx-r 750 blue/white. Thanks

If you read back on this post I have some pictures of my brackets and where I put them. If you want I was going to trace out the outline of them and i can post if you want it so you can cut your own.
bumblebeegsxr 04-05-2006, 02:46 PM AAAAHH.........you stole my idea of the bumblee! Just kidding... but that is what i was gonna do! The idea is the same but the decals different and bigger! Looks good. Btw, what stickers did you say you removed? Also, you said the seats harder than your buddies r6... have you sat on the new cbr's? After sittin on a cbr, the gix is like sittin on feathers.

Yep I looked at that same bee that is your avatar. I wanted a bit meaner and one that would take advantage being on the yellow part of my bike though. I suppose if there was enough interest it might be worth my while to make a few more and sell them huh?LOL
I removed the warning stickers all over the bike.
Yeah I hear the CBR-RR's seat are terrible.

Sure, I'll go trace it tonight. I have to do it anyway for a friend. :D
DieselDan 04-06-2006, 12:15 AM Awesome thanx a million!
Awesome thanx a million!
Here you go Dan. Of course you have to reverse it for the other side. The line across the middle is where you fold it. The hole opposite of the side that comes to a point is dead on...its the other hole that I wouldn't drill until you have it mounted on the bike, hold up the plate, and mark the hole. Otherwise the holes could be off depending on your bend angle and could result like MY oblong hole on the other end. :( This outline should get you pretty close though. Of course you'll have to do some custom filing to get it to fit perfectly. I bent it between 45 degrees and 90 degrees. So that makes it 67.5 degrees about. Good luck. I just painted my black and they look good. :D Cut it to the inside of these lines.

Streetstalker 04-23-2006, 03:29 PM What did you use to remove the stickers on the tank? and if you are making any of your bee stickers for sale I am interested!
GSX-R 71 04-23-2006, 05:43 PM Hey man, congrats on the new bike. 750's are the perfect bike. I've always liked the Y/B scheme and I like your's just as much as the other Y/B schemes throughout the years. Good luck and ride safe.

I kind of like your bee avatar. How many stickers you interested in? Same size I got?
Well I moved my plate once again. I also bought two yellow LED's to make a plate light. Not sure where to put them just yet. I just made small bracket and attached them to the rear pegs holes. I put a slight tilt to the holder so as to not get any flack from local law enforcement. :D
breaker518 06-02-2006, 09:22 PM Congratulation CNI!!
I'm starting to like Y/B scheme as well!
Welll post up more pics to this thread when u added new item to your bike!
Hopefully soon enough I'll post my bike pics up with GPS , Radar detector V1
HipHop 06-02-2006, 09:37 PM Yo, you can make one real quick and cheep. Unscrew the factory and take the bolts to Home Depot. Buy some L brackets ($1.50). Ask them to make the whole ask big as the screw that came from your fac. tag holder. There you go. A ekit for about a $1.50. O-yeah cut the tage light (long just incase), pull it through and tape it off.

Good luck with the plate mods, you do interesting work. But imho I beleive you may be having a bit of a problem with cops.
Your plate seems to be laying nearly face down making it illegible from 50 ft (NJ standards sorry I don't know you state laws).
Becareful out there because the next time your local law enforcers can't catch a biker who wouldn't stop (and you know there are a lot of runners everywhere) you can best believe they will hassle everyone, even if the plate is a little off of DOT standards.
Not trying to discourage you, keep up the good work. If I only had the talent.

I did the whole thing for ZERO $$$. Had spare aluminum sheet from a friend and a few spare hours (I'm a perfecetionist). :D

State requirements here are 30ft and it is PLAINLY visible from that distance. My only prob is no plate light right now. I bought two of the bright yellow LED's from Radio Shack today and going to incorporate somehow later. I don't make a habit of running that that usually gets me off everytime because they don't expect it! :D
Oh, and I have ZERO talent, just patience, and trial and error. :D
