Did they gear the 06 bikes taller to help them pass emission tests @ required test speeds (= lower rpm's)? I've heard this is also the reason for the SET valve. I noticed that my gearing is much taller than my 2000 750 was and think I might have to re-gear. Anyone ever use the speedo healer with any success? as I would not want the miles to add up faster than than actual miles ridden or end up with speedo errors.
Thanks in advance?

many of the bikes are gearing them taller for the track. the 04 r1 started this. some like it and some don't.
if you want to regear it try dropping 1 tooth in the front. i have a full range of gsxr front sprockets in stock...
track guys like the bikes like that, but many street guys miss the bottom end

I would proabaly go bigger in back as I've always heard that dropping a tooth in the front is cheaper but the chain wear also increases? How about speedo healers? any of them in stock maybe even a package deal?
Thanks,
