I wanna add feathers or as i seen on a video, sprockets on the top of my helmet. Does anyone know how I can do that?:confused:

any type of modifications to the helmet which requires to you drill or screw into the shell will instantly void your DOT and SNELL rating on the helmet. it is also illegal in every state to attach anything that will reduce the impact resistance of the helmet. as far as doing it "just for show", are you ever planning on riding with it or just taking it to bike shows and letting it be an expensive showpeice? the problem with attaching something to the shell is that the object will penetrate the styrofoam liner of the helmet very easily in an accident and act just like a pointed steel post going through your helmet.


at least it would probably be a painless death.

Well i wasnt thinking about drilling it, I asked a dude that owns a shop and he mentioned gluing it or actually suction cups as an idea but HES A DICK so i thought id ask the RELIABLE MEMBERS OF GIXXER.com!

if u were gonna use some really good tape or adhesive that in no way compromises the integrity of the helmet, i say go 4 it, anythign else and das jsut plain dumb!

Just dont disturb the surface of the helmet and you can wear it, but dont be surprised if you dont get pulled over for it.

Check out IronHorsehelmets.com, they have mohawks and spikes that attach to helmets.

heres a pic of my helmet. its has a suction cup mohawk on it. you can get it on ebay for $20. ive never gotten so many :thumbup: at redlights until i put on that hawk.
