: rf-1000
wheelburns 03-24-2006, 04:18 PM so i made th step from the hjc cl-14 to a rf-1000. itsl ike compareing a geo metro to a covette other then offereing head protection there aint shit that the hjc can do on the shoei. im im love with thing thing. its light it doesnt move around. the hjc would wobble aroudn even with its tight fit the shoei is the best 450 bucks ive ever spent i am now a shoei guy for life
bratva5 03-24-2006, 08:29 PM Just git my Shoei, and I would have to agree with you. Haven't had a chance to ride in it yet, but it does feel much better then my KBC. Love it
Robben 03-24-2006, 09:18 PM I'm on my second RF-1000 (because of a new paint scheme for 06). I love the way they work. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

wait ti lyou ride with it. it just fits so much better then a hjc/kbc/icon i tired them all on before i bought and when riding with its so nice
bratva5 03-25-2006, 07:49 AM Just went for a short ride to test out the Shoei RF-1000 (the weather is getting bad, so had to get back). The first thing I noticed is how clear the visor is, when not foggy (when u stop) it's like it's not even there. Second is the noise level is substantially lower then my KBC. Third, if you open the vents it has a lot of air flow. It fit's really snug, and is a bit lighter then KBC, although fitment in KBC is not that far off. My conlusion: I absolutely love my RF-1000, and the graphics (Pascal Picotte replica) are hot too.
I have one question: how do you guys prevent the visor from fogging up when you're not moving? I dont want to use the Foggy mask like in my other helmet.
Robben 03-25-2006, 08:27 AM Flip the visor up? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Or at least crack it using the little lever on the left, or a full notch... close it once you get rolling. Some people have great luck with that breath guard, but it channels the breath right up behind my glasses. That's bad. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
bratva5 04-04-2006, 05:12 AM Actually I did put my foggy mask in Shoei and it holds in place very nicely. Now even in cold weather my visor has almost no fog, even when the vents are closed.

Don't you have the Pinlock inner visor? I think it came in the box with mine. Works great, even when the rest of the visor is fogged (around the inner visor), the middle is perfectly clear:thumbup:

DieselDan 04-04-2006, 10:14 PM Just bought the Diabolic 2 to go with my 06 maroon 750. Helmet matches perfectly
Jimmy 2 Times 04-05-2006, 11:20 AM mine didn't have that, but it did come with an attachment where i can put a thing up to nose to help with the fog........it doesn't fit well, so it doesnt really help
