it actually scared me a little the other day. maybe not scared, but impressed? i was messing around with power up/stand up wheelies since i could do them in second on my sv650. i just went to about 10-11k in second gear, hit it, rolled off, then hit it again and stood up while pulling the bars up. when i sat it down i checked my speed and it was 105... i dont plan to be doing that for awhile, i had no clue it was that fast.. ive been down before and dont want to do it again, especially at 100mph+. the last time i went down was at 70mph, and it wasnt any fun..

i havent really messed with clutching it up. it will power up at about 9k in first gear if you hit it, roll off, then hit it again. the bike definately has plenty of power for me.

Pulled 4 on my 750. all power wheelies. With the extended swingarm and the rider position more foward, it doesn't like to wheelie to much. It just squirts out of the corners....

First/second gear, clutch in, lots of throttle, clutch out. Enjoy. Anyone else notice the wheelie sensor on the back of the subframe?

I think this bike might be slightly squid proof but I haven't ridden it so I'll have to get to ya on how that sensor works when I win the first race this season. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

wheelie sensor? i did a decently long wheelie and i know it was up there..

i would hope they wouldnt design the bike to cut off while someone had the front end in the air....

I'll get a photo of it later tonight when I get over to the bike. I'm pretty sure it's a wheelie sensor because the tip-over sensor is next to the ECU where they're usually located.

Just waiting on that service manual. I imagine you've gotta get that bike pretty high up before it kicks in.

if there is a sensor u could probably tape the sensor so it doesnt move thats what stunters do with there tip over sensor, jus take the cover off the sensor and youll see how it moves jus tape it in place put the cover back on your done 12 o clock wheelies here we come

ok please explain first that when you say "power wheelie" you point out that your bouncing hard on it and wacking it at 100mph

so.....

thats not a power wheelie.

In fact stock on a 750 2nd doesn't even reallly come up. You gotta throttle blip it yank on the handle bars, be going over a hill, or REALLY be sitting back. And you can do anything geared to it.

First reply is to the "wheelie sensor"...a guy posted a pic of him on his new bike proving the "wheelie sensor" obviously doesn't work...if you want to read the thread its in the 06 GSXR forum

second is you should not have to do that much bouncing on a new 600 to get the front wheel up in 1st gear...and if you're trying to do a power wheelie in any gear other then 1st thats just dumb
