1st off bigal is ok, he lowsided out of turn 8, he was still using bridgestone 010 stock tyre while he was just wanting to learn the track 1st, but he started pushing too hard and we all know there a shit tyre and have heard too many ppl losing the front end on them. His bike is still rideable, although we had to organise a new stator cover which will go on tomorow morning and some minor fairing repairs, so the bike should be fine for qualifying and racing tomorow (with slicks on this time)
I did actually lend nolz the R1 (who knows he may end up buying one http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) pretty confident that it will come back in 1 piece.
I had a ball on friday doing my own trackday at eastern creek.. it was a bit hard as i was been held up alot by other riders in C and should of gone to B earlier in the day, but by around 3pm i was f&*ked, as we went straight from melbourne at 6pm to the track and slept bout 1hr since thursday morning. The R1 was great around the track, handling was fantastic, although i wished i had better rubber then the stock 208 dunlop, even tho it stuck, i could of pushed harder on a supercorsa etc. did my 1st rear wheel slide out of the corner and kept it spinning down the short straight (that gave me a woody) . If i have the chance again i will do another trackday here.. although not as good as philip island, some of the extra facilties are better then PI (ie not having to pay for a pit garage etc)
that is about it for the moment..
