Not true. TRE has been verified to work. "2003 New ECU" 2002 had the new 32-bit ECU. 2003 now has a 176 mph limit, as announced back in 2000. The TRE probably still works, though. The DYno recently has indicated that the 2003s are topping out at 176 or so in 6th with quite a bit of rpm to go. There is also talk that they are limted in 5th gear too now. If there is a 5tth gear limiter, than the TRE won't work right? It convinces the ECU that it's always in 5th gear.
