I was on my way home from the bike shop after having a new rear tire put on, and it was raining. The guy pulled out infront of me making a left-hand turn. When he hit the gas his wheels just spun, at that point I was a block or less away from him. The last thing I wanted to do was to let an accident stop me from "getting back on the horse." I went bigger because the 1000 was the bike I wanted to begin with, I just couldn't afford it at the time so I settled for a 750. I've got nothing but respect for anybody that rides any machine. It's not easy to get out there on the road without a buncha metal surrounding you to keep you safe. Especially in MD, DC, VA area.
