: RR down...
Well... I've only had the RR for about a month now and its a blast. I can do powerwheelies really easy and control it pretty good. What was the next trick? Stand up wheelies.
So I was out with my buddies around 5pm and we went to our local stunt place. A private road in an industrial park where no traffic goes after 5pm. I did some wheelies and got some tips from the more experienced riders and they showed me how to do it. I went slow, 5mph starting out and poping the clutch getting it up about an inch or so. It just felt weird on the RR. But I continued. I kept doing it at a slow speed.
Well... after 30 mins of practicing it, I tried to rev it a little bit more to get a little higher than an inch and then I lost control and flipped it at about 15mph. Since today was 85ish I left my jacket and gloves at my friends place. The only time I didn't wear it. I was wearing it earlier in the morning, but that doesn't matter now.
Anyhow, I got tons of road rash and banged up my right leg pretty good. Half of it was caught on video. I'll post more pics later.

BTW, nice job numb nuts.
Suzuki Chelly 03-05-2006, 04:41 AM D'oh. Was that your shoe flying away as you tumbled down the road? I guess some people just need to learn the hard way. At least you weren't as bad as the guy that was doing standups naked http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gif
Dude wearr your gear! Don't be a jackbag and get yourself seriously hurt. It just isn't worth it
RADRB8 03-06-2006, 03:10 AM The only smart thing you did was to loop it in an industrial park... Other than that you got exactly what you deserved for trying to be cool and stunt without gear... I'm willing to bet you are new to riding too, it shows due to the lack of respect you have for the machine. that is why it bit you... Learn to ride the friggen thing the right way, give it some respect then stunt it if you want... Maybe you should practice on a dirt bike or keep supplying us racers with spare parts...
This is only the beginning of the thrashing you are going to get for posting this...
SuzukiriderTC 03-06-2006, 10:12 AM 15mph? if that thing is on stock gearing then you were asking for trouble.
slow wheelies usually have pizza-sized rear sprockets.
googs
andrewrfl 03-06-2006, 03:50 PM u look just like this nerd i know that always helped me with my pc. its hilarious.

irocgixxer-z 03-07-2006, 03:34 AM damnit man! you broke a few of the classic "how not to fuck yourself up" rules.
at lest your ok and all. How bad is the bike?
naz750 03-08-2006, 09:09 AM pow pow power wheelies.

Having the pizza pan on the rear helps, but isn't a necessity to doing slow wheelies.
Lack of good throttle, and rear brake control got him. Not because he was on stock gearing.

+1, seen many good riders rock the slow stuff and circles on stock gearing

I seriously doubt this kid needs anymore cock suckering about gear, Experience is the best tool, and most spendy. Nobody want's to post anything up cuz of jerkoff comments like this. So RADRB8 can have what he deserves

gimpsta 03-19-2006, 01:57 PM first off why r u running PP's for stunting, they have quite a bit taller of a profile.
And if you guys are gong to "stunt" your going to wreck.
Get a freaken aftermarket case cover for both sides - and maybe that exposed stator issue won't be a problem. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

or a cage
05Yellow GSXR600 03-19-2006, 03:56 PM LMFAO you have to learn to ride before you even think about stunting. Get a cage for that bike, 12 bar, etc. You should not be even trying wheelies, just power wheelie the think untill you get the hand of it. Clutching it up takes more skill then powering it up. You have to know how much you can clutch/gas it to bring it were you want it. O well you will learn the hard and wrong way but you will learn or you wont have any skin or money left lol
gimpsta 03-21-2006, 04:33 AM oh ya, a cage
that too
JetSpeedz 03-21-2006, 06:54 AM ouch
matt555 04-04-2006, 09:14 AM Wow, after watching that video I'd say those guys are not your friends. Find some new riding buddies.

I concur.
By the way. If you continue to ride like a clown on two wheels
stock up on the pain killers, your gonna need them!!
Tyzuki 04-05-2006, 08:12 PM Ouch! Nothing worse then f___king your bike up and yourself in the process for being cocky.
Kidder 04-05-2006, 09:59 PM Stunters=stupid
Stunters with no gear=really f*cking stupid
