Within the next month or two, I'll hopefully be buying a 2001 gsxr600 images/icons/grin.gif and I was trying to get some insight concerning what to keep an eye out for. What's a good mileage to keep it under with there engines, any specific issues that I should check out on the '01's, thoughts about a fair price for a model that's in good shape? Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the site man. I have an 01 600. I bought mine with 3000 miles on it, the average price range is anywhere from 4500 to 6500. Just look for signs that it has been mistreated, i.e. scratches, something bent, Heck start it, listen for any weird noises, ask the guy why hes getting rid of it and if it sounds like BS, dont buy it. I bought mine from a private owner but I took it to the suzuki dealership and had one of the mechanics look her over. And IMO, I wouldnt buy one that has a custom paint job. makes you wonder. good luck graemlins/thumbup.gif

I sold my 01 600 for $4500 w/18k miles. I never had any problems with it I just wanted something different and bought a tlr1000, hated it kept if for about 6 weeks then got a 01 750gsxr.
