: WRC - Wombat Racing Championship (56k peeps beware)
gsxrboy 01-08-2003, 08:17 AM Just a couple of pics of Willow, the fastest wombat rider in the world, as you can tell by his skillz and his weaponry this title is his alone. Deserved mad props and second place to Wombie, a true pioneer in the sport. Please excuse the low res pics of Willow, they were taken (apart from the stuntz) in the pit garage during pre season testing.

OH dear, looks like a trip to the toy store is in order. graemlins/thumbup.gif
Just goes to show that with all those bikes Willow is obviously a test rider for some crappy magazine (a la Cathcart) and can't actually cut it in the real world. graemlins/laugh.gif
wombie has had a look at willows photos and has instructed me to not even bother posting up his shots....he feels that willow is nothing but a little rich wombat with bikes that daddy buys for him!....
that picture of the crashed 748 is a fake! i repeat it is fake!!! obviously a bad photoshop job!....
i wont even get to how much of a squid willow is....stunging around and "trying" to drag a knee...with NO gear!!! images/icons/rolleyes.gif
ill see if i cna convice wombie to let me put his pics up....

The GSXR bikes you can get is a Majisto brand (I think, cant remember the spelling), they are not build up tho, Tamiya is rumored to be making a GSXR kit at some stage.

gsxrboy 01-15-2003, 04:29 AM BREAKING NEWS - taken from the sportswire at www.wrcgp.com (http://www.wrcgp.com) (currently down due to site service work)
(Excerpt)
.... Willow Racing has formally announced plans to expand its racing organisation, in a press release issue to WRC, the expansion includes the selection of another rider into the squad on full factory equipment.
Rumours have been rife that Willow Racing has or will approach Wombie Technical Sports Team Racing to form a merger and become a "super power team" in Wombat Racing. The team, sources say, will be named Wombat Ultra Extreme Racing and feature the two most successful and talented riders in the championships long and distinguished history. Sources go on to place Akrapovic and Ohlins as the major suppliers for exhaust and suspension technology.
No confirmation has been made available at press time so we will have to wait until we hear from both teams if the rumours are to be proven accurate.
.... The report by renowned expert Matt Oxley, continues with details of the pre season testing where Wombie and Willow have been smashing the existing lap records recording near identical times in each outing. He continues to hypothesise that he can see no reason why this team wouldn't become the dominant force in sports entertainment.

... Following recent reports of a possible merger of the two top teams in the competition, strong rumors suggest that Jeremy "Jerry" Burgess will move to the WRC as crew chief to the team bringing with him enormous experience and development talent.
http://www.gpone.com/personaggi/immagini/burgess01.jpg
Barry Sheene sums it up when saying "Woah you can't believe how unbelievable the WRC is becoming, Willow and Wombie ride like a rat up a drain pipe. Can it get any better than Burgess joining this supposed super team, no way, do me a favour, its unbelievable."
taht is great news indeed, perhaps confirmed by a few spy shots that i have been handed on a yet to be developed roll of film....
shots to come, ladies and gentlemen this could be history in the making!
gsxrboy 01-16-2003, 06:44 AM Nolz, did you perchance happen to see the previous rumor report? (end of page two)
yes i did very interesting indeed, i cant either confirm or deny any of it..i have been sworn to secrecy/....
it would seem that wombie has connections to the underground and it terrifies me to say too much....ill just let what pictures i have speak for themselves when they come out....
gsxrboy 01-16-2003, 06:50 AM The spy shots only further to deepen the mystery around this whole thing. I shall be interested to see what you have.

... Further information has been leaking out about the new super team, rumors suggest that the new Michelin quad compound tyres will be used by the team. A tyre technician was heard to have said, " The new variable valve timing gear on those bike really make them sing, but the injections system is so good that our tyres are getting even better performance....
Woodzzter 01-23-2003, 05:58 PM I heard that the Michelin tyres were having trouble maintaining grip on the factory wombat bikes but there is no mention of it in that article.

gsxrboy 01-30-2003, 05:34 AM BREAKING NEWS - taken from the sportswire at www.wrcgp.com (http://www.wrcgp.com) (currently down due to site service work)
(Excerpt)
... Development seems to have accelerated in the Extreme team motorcycle design, leaked internal documents point to a radical thumb operated gear change. A roadbike test mule here is shown with an adaption of the kliktronic gearchanger, while the original is electronic, sources suggest that the variant on the road bike is full hydraulic. A hydraulic system would be more reliable than an electric system and less prone to failure under the severe race conditions experienced in the WRC.

We are unable to confirm if the system will be utilised in the first round, or wether the design has been finalised.
SyMBi0TiK 01-30-2003, 03:30 PM yeah...
im with nolz on this one...
we have some fucking stupid people in sydney...
this is never gonna stop... graemlins/icon_wtf.gif
alright... is this because wombats are too small and fat to reach the gear shifter... graemlins/laugh.gif
