while i am still on cloud nine dreaming of future bikes, i notice that kawasaki, yamaha, honda have all got new 600cc line-ups, but not suzuki...

is the 03 same as the 01 and 02 that it hasn't got a radical-change-let's-advertise-it line-up item? only new suzuki i saw was teh disgusting 'i-got-beat-up-with-a-hayabusa-ugly-stick 1thou'

p.s: if anyone got offended by the busa comment and thinks that the 03 thou looks good.... i don't care, i am entitled to my own opinion graemlins/spit.gif

Expect a much modified GSXR600 in 2004. Till the the Gixxer has to do the best it can, if the market place against the new machinery and on the race track.

Yes there are no changes for the 03 GSX-R600, apart from new colour schemes. An Alstare Corona replica is slated to replace this year's Telefonica Movistar.

There are 2 new SV650's (faired and unfaired) and 2 matching SV1000's.

The 02 Blue/silver colour scheme was also available here. Remember that in Australia, we get all of the 3 colour schemes. If you're lucky there might be an unsold one still sitting in a showroom somewhere.

All the colours are great
You have the traditional blue/white
The killer bee which is sweet cause it stands out on the streets
But now they have added the black/silver which sort of has become a fav for me cause i havent seen many of them
If they bring out the corona scheme to Aust i just might change my mind again
At the end of the day its just a colour and they all look the same deep down where it counts

Tell you what ive noticed theres alot of tension around the subject of when to upgrade a bike and alot of the other squids have made the mistake and been shot to pieces but i understand that everyone here is just trying to rub alittle of their experience and mistakes onto the newbies and try to keep them alive to pass on the same knowledge one day
As such ive decided not to be a hot shot and will take my time

gsxrboy
12-21-2002, 09:04 PM
Most of it stems from the Americans where it looks like they can get whatever as their first bike, where as here we have an upgrade path (for the most part) so thats why the tell every1 to get SV650 to start with, but in your case you have a lot more experience than those newbies..
