So I just moved out here from Cali and I run into a guy on a CBR at a light who tells me about a bike night here in Tucson on Thursday nights on Speedway BLVD.......but I didnt get exactly where or what time. Anybody out there got the details on this for me? Thanks in advance.

i have saved it to my fav topics cause im new to tucson (well since october) but am interested to see about bike nights. i would imagine there is one at hooters. but im just hanging out to see what you find. im more into the track and riding mt lemmon. i cant say parking lots are up my alley.

let me see if i can enlighten you all. there are some riders that hang out at mama's pizza on thursday nights (speedway location) but i don't know how the turn out has been the last couple of months due to the weather and police activity. plus i never attended and always figured that if i was on my bike i'd rather be riding than sitting in a parking and telling others what great of a rider i was.
there was also a group that gathered for two wheel tuesdays at hooters near tanque verde/pima location but i only attended once and wasn't impressed how newbies were welcomed. maybe its me or maybe i'm just too old, but back in the day when i first started riding everyone was much friendlier and always welcomed a new face since we were all part of a pretty small statistic.
so now i gather with a select few and hit mt lemmon on sundays as often as possible. not being part of the "cool" group has its advantages.
ok, i'll get off my soapbox now, sorry for the ranting

Wow ok, I wasnt looking for something like that. I am only firmilure with the bike nights that I have attended in Cali where everyone has a good time looking at everyones bikes for a few hours, then takes off and finds a place to stunt. I dont want to talk about how I am a good rider or anything like that, I just like looking at the hard work that people put into their rides. I am back and forward between Tucson and Barstow CA and was just looking to hang with some people that have the same passion as I do while I am here. Seems I wont find what I am looking for.
I leave for Cali again on Sunday, not sure when I am coming back, but I hope that its soon. Would love to tag along on a few rides when I return.

You are always welcome to join the majority of us up in Phoenix, between the group of us here, I am certain someone would have a place for you to crash for the weekend with a garage for the bike.

You should gather those few Tucson members on here and make a bike night at Tens in Tucson, nothing like riding around and then stoppin in to watch da ladies dance a little. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/ott.gif

sorry, didn't mean to discourage anyone from hanging out. don't get me wrong, i enjoy checking out what others have done to their bikes too and appreciating the hard work that goes into it. in addition, i'm not much into the stunt scene but admire the talent required to pull off the tricks. i guess i would rather be riding and dragging a knee as much as i can.

might try and make it up to phx this spring and tag along on one of your rides if thats cool with everyone involved.

tens is a great idea although i have a hard time riding with a woody.

hahaha yeah on the way to tens would be fine but they might have to provide cold showers for the way back. i really have no interest in going to bike nights anymore. now that im in to track riding i dont have much fun riding on th street. too many stupid people in cages. i wouldnt mind bike nights so much if they didnt have people who just tried to impress others with what they have or how they can ride, but it seems most people on bikes these days are like that. you might try checking it out though and seeing if its any good. i just havent had to urge to see cause i have other things i need to do more.
