OK, I've now got the right front sprocket I think. 15 teeth and 525 pitch, but if it is 525, why does it have E520 stamped into the body.

The packet definitely says #525. Help please, I don't want to leave this until Wednesday night. images/icons/mad.gif

MY REnthals have 520 stamped on both sprocket. I cant remember if it's just "520" or "E520". Maybe the "E520" stands for something else images/icons/confused.gif

525 = Roller width of 5/16", sprocket thickness = 0.284"
520 = Roller width of 1/4", sprocket thickness = 0.227"

Physically comparing the new to the old sprocket should give u an answer.

I quote "oh, we're not a Suzuki dealer, so I don't know what the standard number of teeth is...". Heard of a phone numbnuts. AND this is a shop that has a Suzuki dealership on the other side of town. What do you do with someone that stupid !!!! graemlins/bash.gif

I estimate he would have been able to answer your question.

It is funny how one store can't talk to another.

Must say - They just did my forks under warranty for nitride fade.. ( and leak on rhs ) - so I was happy.

I make apology for recommending that you ask a dealer, what the bloody hell was I thinking.

---- Oh sorry sir we didn't realise that we put that scratch down the middle of your new pipe.
---- Oh you wanted the Ti link pipe as well, oh yes you did say that.
---- Sure we will do a dyno run for you before and after.
---- You want to run twin lines from the master cyl with your new ss lines? we don't normally do that.
---- No it is still not in, next week.

Please forgive me, I am sorry images/icons/frown.gif

Actually there is one good reliable Suzuki dealer in Perth.

Fingers crossed as he say "Savage Suzuki" They have always done the right thing by me anyway. One trip to Fremantle at night and I came back to find the bike had 'stuff' sprayed on the rear disk, something really slippery like a sealant type mixture, so no rear brakes, lucky I didn't need to use them in an emergency (or that they did it to the front). So as it was I needed a new rear tyre put on and they cleaned the disks and pads up for free.. prolly didn't take them much to do it but they did.

Mate of mine once went to Savage to buy a few bits for his Bandit 12, and wasn't too impressed with their service or knowledge. I forget what exactly transpired though.

Someone else I know had a less than satisfying experience at McCulloch's, I forget what happened there too.

Lloyd Chapmans everyone's afraid of, and North City doesn't "exist" anymore. There was also Sunset Motorcycles in Osborne Park, which used to be known as something else I forget, long gone.

A lot of the WAR (http://www.war.asn.au/) guys use a guy named Mark de Hass, he used to be Northside's service manager, now works out of home. Very personalised service apparently, always hear glowing reports. His number's 9450 6074.

Personally, I take mine to Mike Eames at One On One Motorcycles in Malaga.

I have to say Phil at Sydney city Kograh is really good. He knows what is talking about and is helpful. He's the only one I'll leave my bike with. Common, he runs the filco ride days.

The others graemlins/piss.gif

I have noticed that the brake fluid at sydney city Kograh (motul 600) was $5 more than at MCA in the city (near my work).. Thats not Phils dept though.

Sunset used to be Supercycles I think, they fitted a wrong pipe to my bike back in the ZZR600 days. Hehehe yeah everybody is afraid on Chapmans images/icons/smile.gif

Supercycles is a Harley dealer, they're on Frobisher St, down the road from Northside

Let me know how it goes with your ex-Suzuki guy. Good, honest mechanics are a goldmine.
