im not trying to sound like an ass, BUT if you want weight savings the easiest way is to find a treadmill and use it religiously. the easiest way to reduce weight is to reduce your weight, not the bikes.

r u always a smartass and think ur funny? jesus...

hey bro depends on if ur just wantin it lighter for street or drag use.. somethings u can do r get fiberglass body work.. remove 1 frnt brake rotor/caliper.. aftermarket wheels.. alum. sprockets. carbon tank.. just all depends on what u can spend,. and what u plan to do with the bike street/race..

02 GSXR HYBRID is correct. Sure items such as lighter wheels and rotors will positively affect your bike's ability going into turns, but dropping your body weight is truly the cheapest way to pick up speed on your bike. Dropping 10lbs in bodyweight is easy and free, dropping 10lbs in bike weight could cost you thousands.

I'm only 165lbs now. Don't want to look like a skeleton I'm thin enough already. I've heard of removing the rear break rotor too

can you explain how thats being a smartass? its a pretty sensible suggestion considering the guy didnt post his physical stats. i weigh about 245lbs, so if i was talking about trimming weight, then theres not much point paying for carbon fibre stuff, when i could just lay of the pies for a week or so and save the same weight.

so this guys 165lbs. if that was posted in the first message, i doubt body weight loss would have been mentioned.

you fall out with this guy somewhere else?

but to answer the original question, forged wheels, titantium zorst, magnesium engine covers, lighter sprockets - all easy (but not cheap) weight reductions.
if you want to save more and get real silly with money, you can save a bit of weight on engine internals and carbon brakes + CF fairings

im still putting more to the ground. there is a dyno day going this weekend. if i end up driving the 50 miles to do it ill post up the sheets. looks like its gonna be cold as shit though so i might not make it.

6.13 is believable in the 8th on nos and a wheelie bar, and a decent time as well, BUT again im not into the whole pin-it, hang on, and shift style of racing. i like the challenge of a getting good time while the bike wants to flip over backward. that actually takes more skill than just knowing where to hold the throttle for a launch and hanging on.
