Hello there fellow European Riders:

My dilemma is that I need a gsx-r750 96-97 engine. I'm not that familiar with the local way of doing business(Naples,Italy), can't find a salvage yard to save my life. Plus those shops that do have an engine, is usually a 600 and want around 1,000 Euros.

Can't get one from the States because no one shipping company will touch a used engine(Customs Law for air travel).
Does anybody have contacts here in Europe, or Italy for that matter, that have used engines/parts for japanese bikes?

I've been down and out for far too long, have money in hand, but nobody want my business, at least it seems that way graemlins/crying.gif
Your helpwith this matter is greatly appreciated guys graemlins/thumbup.gif graemlins/thumbup.gif ...

I'd check into the shipping thing again. Have the shipment sent to your APO. Use surface shipping also. Way cheaper than air. Have the fluids drained etc. Check with your local HHG transportion company. See what they can do for you. They are always shipping to Italy from worldwide. Send the shipment as M/C parts at a lower cost on the bill of sale.

Thanks guys for the replies. Does that MCN news have a website?

I guess that if all else fails, I could try to rebuild mine.

Check out all the British mags as not only do they have the best stuff but they sell everything on the planet. and if that doesn't work try looking into www.koups.com (http://www.koups.com) they are in the states and I had a couple of friends pick up 02 1ks for a good deal and got it shipped cheap here to sicily.
