Hey guys, can anyone recommend a vendor or website to pick up a good deal on Joe Rocket gear? I've torn between the Corona and Team Suzuki (in black/silver) jackets and right now the best price seems to be on Kneedraggers. Thanks for the help. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/werd.gif

+1 for new enough, I have had good dealings with them.

Yes those jackets do come in textile, although I haven't seen the Corona textile.

I have a question on the fitting of these jackets are they suppose to come down past your belly button ? Cause the one I tried on did not and I wear a 44 but it seemed short to me or maybe thats just how these jackets fit. And what can I do for the arms cause mine are a 37 and 34 is a lil short. Any help ?

Yes, it goes past the belly button, or is supposed to on a normal torso. Fits me fine. I have a size 44 in the b/w factory jacket. And the arms actually seem long to me, but I haven't tried it on the bike yet. I'm somewhat slim and 6'.

Fits a hella lot better then my old Stingray jacket, which was a 46 and seemed a bit sloppy. The 44 in that style was too tight.

Ok thanks for your help it seems like all the tall jackets are textile and the nicer ones are not made for the long and slim. I wear a 44 in a suit so i tried the 44 on the arms were a lil short but it came no where near my torso but that jacket is a beast

It does seem to just barely fit at the front. The back's got good coverage, but it was definitely made for the 'average' size person. I have a couple pics of me with it on with a pair of jeans when I'd first gotten it, but I was wearing a black sweatshirt underneath, and it hangs down below, so you can't see the division clearly. Love the jacket, can't wait to rock it this coming season. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/icon_rant.gif

Yeah I was lookin at the black/gunmetal one.

-How are these jackets compared to others as far a safety when you take a spill???

-Can you wear these in the summer? Here in Chicago it gets up to 85 F easy, and I don't want to cook myself while riding.

Let me know what you guys thing/recomend.
Thanx

Yeah, black/gunmetal. I call it the blk/wht. Haven't tried it on the road yet, but the ventilation looks like a decent improvement over my last jacket, and I wore that in 100 degree temps fine. Just so long as you're moving, that is. Far as protection, it's as good as any other decent 2 piece leather setup. I trust it.

Yeah, I wear an all black speedmaster jacket (I don't know if they are the exact same, but I'm thinking it's pretty close) and it gets pretty hot in the summer. I actually don't feel the vents in the shoulders work at all. While you are riding the arm and back vents let air in, but any time you stop, you will be sweating.

I think I'm going to get the replica textile for this summer, to see if that relieves any of the heat issue. I know there isn't as much protection from textile stuff vs. leather, but I'm probably going to give it a try anyway. I understand it'll get ruined if I have an off, but I'm pretty confident it won't shred to pieces for the type of riding I'm doing right now.

I just LOVE this outfit. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif (Am I the ultimate poser or what!) These pics are right after I picked the suit up. $950 for 2-piece, helmet, boots and gloves. And Mladin's autograph on the jacket and helmet.
