Looking for a little feedback....the Tech vs. Tech Race.

Anyone owned & or used either model? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Looking to buy one just not sure which model to go with.

I do some track dayz over the summer but for the most part street riding.

Thanks!

No brainer.

Trackdays, get the tech-race.

Wrong, get the CE certified Tech, the tech race doesn't ahve the protection on the sides or the bottom. It's not certified for a reason, it doesnt provide the same coverage area with the core material that provides the protection beniefit. Actually, there are a number choices that provide a much higher level of energy absorption, anything CE certified to the LEVEL 2 requirements, double the amount of impact protection than the Astars Tech.

Any of the Level 2 CE approved protectors, the T-Pro Forcefield/Joe Rocket Speedmaster, the new Spidi Warrior, the BMW Ruckenprotector, or the Velocity Gear protector. Personally, I'm of the opinion nowadays that a BETA Level 3 Horse Rider's torso protector is the best option for any real benefits taht ca nbe had by any of the available options.

Since the poster locked it down to the two Alpinestars, I figured the race would be better.

Anyway, neither one I would pick anyway. I got the TPro - Forcefield Back Protector, which hits Level 2. I have crashed tested mine too. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Well i tried on both A* & neither fit under my leathers comfortably.

In the end i went with Dainese that fit so well i can hardly notice its even on.

& on a side note the only reason I was asking about A* because i was going to buy one through the group buy.

My suits fit me skin tight, and the T Pro Forcefield is so thin, it's hardly noticed.

Congrats on the Dainese, you couldn't have picked a better brand. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
