The officials did NOT win that game for Pittsburgh. They beat the Seahawks hands down. The better team won the Super Bowl this year and that's all there is about it. They whooped up on everyone in their path on the road as a #6 ranked playoff team. To take anything away from what they did would be an injustice.

Congrats Steelers! You earned every bit of it for sure.

Steelers won the game but I def think they could have played better
They could have had 600 yrds total offense and held the opponent to less than 100 with a final score of 45 to 3, but in the end I'd still be downtown pittsburgh tomorrow morning at 11 with a beer in my hand wathcing the parade down to the point for the celebration.

So yes the steelres are glad
Glad they pulled it off
Me too cause all the bitches in the bar last night were smashed and I got laid

I think the commercials were the best part of that game. One of the worst football games I've seen. It definetly was a snooze and alot of controversy. Sucks to be a Pittsburgh player to have won it that way, there's no denying they were lucky.

even if the ben r. td wasn't really a td.........the next play they would have given the ball to the bus' fat ass, and he would have gotten in

btw, if the refs threw the game, how do you explain that 78 yard td run by pitt?

redlight_005

Bus didn't get in the play before though.......who knows what could of happened? Remember bus's infamous fumble the week before? Pitts 78 yard td run was a real touchdown and a hell of a run.

The Refs were ordered to make calls in favor of the Steelers, a real conspiracy.

They may have won but I seriously doubt they could have produced 600yds of offense against that defense. The Seahawk defense is MUCH better than most give them credit and good defenses tend to make good offenses look worse than they really are.

Here's my take on the game. I wanted the Steelers to win, just check the other threads in this forum. The off PI call...he fully extended his arm between him and the defender which slowed the defenders progress and gave the receiver more momentum toward the ball. Good call IMO. The Rothlesburger TD. I watched the replay many times, and the ball has to break the white line. The ball does, but BARELY. I mean by a couple of inches does it actually break the plain. The first few times I saw the replay, I thought it would be overturned and it would be 4th and goal. Hasslebeck's fumble seemed to me like a fumble. The defenders hand did not cause him to go down, and when his knee, elbow, or other touched the ground, no defender touched him to down him. IMO, it was a fumble, but the refs saw otherwise. I don't think it was a good or bad call. It was a judgement call.

Here's the thing...if Seattle would have caught the ball, they would have won. If Seattle hadn't got holding calls to bring back first downs, then they would have won. The better team did win. Although Pitt didn't play a great game, they executed when they needed to and made the plays when they had the opportunity. Also, Seattles 2 missed FGs really hurt them as far as team moral I believe.

For starters, I watched more sports shows this season than you've seen in your whole life (see the other threads regarding how much money I bet on these games and couple that with the fact that I'm self employed and decide when I work & when I don't) so that's not true. Just watching a sports show doesn't make you a football expert though so I suggest you do a little more research and watch a few more games before you talk like you know everything and criticize others.

The Seahawks had numerous chances to overcome the bad officiating they didn't put it together. When the showed the Seahawks on the sidelines almost everyone had their heads down. When Pitt was getting shafted by the Refs in Indy they just wanted to get back on the field and make a play. I think the Seahawks gave up, poor clock management. Stevens could catch the clap. They changed the way they were running. Pittsburgh was the better team that day, they overcame Ben having a bad game they overcame dropped balls. The officiating has been bad all season. a good team will do what it can to overcome these things. This is all my opinion as everyone has about the game. Was it one of the better superbowls not even close. Are the Steelers happy knowing that they had a few bad calls in their favor? Yes. Hasselback has a lot more game left in him, get him some people that will actually catch and they can be back sooner rather than later.

You're right, it's not how much I bet that counts..... How much I made is the important thing.

I never said I'm the biggest sportsfan ever either, far from it. I do however know how to watch a game with my own eyes and draw my own conclusions and not regurgitate what I say on some post game sports show. Big difference between you and I. It's also just as easy to look at the calls that could have gone the way of the loser to make the game more favorable for them but how quickly these 'experts' forget the calls that went against the winning team as well. If you had the ability to go back and make EVERY call perfect, the Steelers would have still won the game by plenty. Period.

Come see me next season when we have something to talk about.
