: Massachusetts Riders
BADBOY_750 11-22-2002, 12:12 PM Ok Mass, last year was fun, and looking to make next year even better. Believe it or not spring is just around the corner. So lets get our new buddy list together for 2003 ASAP. I say
there is nothing better than making those after work runs. Especially after a long day of shitty work day.
I met great deal of cool people to ride and chat with. And last year was a blast. So im
looking for some more fellow riders. Who want to join in and bring new ideas and riding routes our
next chapter.
So what ya say Mass? U feeling up to some
new adventure and riding partners? Holla if ya hear me

Tara

COOL I enjoyed the first vedio, and I still have it on VHS But will add it to my Dvd collection. I
looked for DTE in the Taunton industrial parks over the summer. Hey Tara are you the female who was at Quincy Motor sports show past summer and you had the pink and black bike? I have my girl riding now and I told her bout the female who was riding with DTE that day. My girl bought her first bike bout 5 months ago. And she's riding very well. I set her up with a 1992 GSX 750. The perfect first timmer bike. Now we are in the process of selling it and getting her a GSXR 600.
Might as well let her get fully comfortable with the bike she's gonna have for a while now, that she past the basic and riding good. Well Im getting back to work I do hope we all get together
this up coming season, my crew, your crew and some of the Mass riders of Gixxer.com. That will be a blast. Heck start the summer off with a nice long ride and ending in BBQ and party.
sounds good to me what ya think?

N1ksa 12-12-2002, 04:09 PM We should come up with some meeting point at some point in time in between here and boston seeing it seems that we're spread out all over this state.........like a weekly or monthly thing.
As far as a party is concerned, once the nice weather rolls around, and we open our pool up, I'd be willing to host a post ride BBQ/party.....but that's if you all feel like comin out this way.........there's still plenty of time.

PUMATSI 12-13-2002, 12:53 PM Hello Massachusetts. I just found this website...
I live in Attleboro and recently bought my first Gixxer. The bike is at a garage right now in Pembroke in nekid mode. The previous owner did not maintain this bike. It is friggin dirty! I plan on having all of the mickey-mouse crap taken care of soon and be ready for the spring. I can't wait to go riding. images/icons/smile.gif
I work in Littleton so I could also do some riding during lunch hours. Again, we have to wait until this white poison melts.
Talk at you Later!
DRAGON 12-13-2002, 03:14 PM i didnt know there was a shop in pembroke whats it called?

I am doing all of the repairs myself. Not because I know how but because I am cheap. At this point, I know only enough to be dangerous. I haven't touched the engine yet and basically all I know is that it runs.
I rode it a little and it seemed to choke and garbledy shit on hard throttle. I'll deal with that later. I am doing the plastic repairs now using fiberglass resin.
Fuck! I am going off on a tangent.
Anyway, to amswer your question it is just a garage I am renting.

I'm old and slow and a relatively new rider who still gets a little scared whenever the front wheel lifts off the ground, but I'd love to try to follow you guys around in the spring. Keep me posted.

Mike K. 01-11-2003, 10:02 PM Hey what's up!
I would love to go on some group rides when it gets warmer. All last summer I practically rode alone and it sucked. I live in the Pawtucket area, I moved from Dorchester, but I'm in Boston on almost daily bases. So if anything comes up keep me posted.

We should come up with some meeting point at some point in time in between here and boston seeing it seems that we're spread out all over this state.........like a weekly or monthly thing.
As far as a party is concerned, once the nice weather rolls around, and we open our pool up, I'd be willing to host a post ride BBQ/party.....but that's if you all feel like comin out this way.........there's still plenty of time. You make a really good point, I too think we should meet up from time to time starting in the spring and keep it a continous thing. I know the true riders will be willing to hook up and do so.
As far as im concern I dont care where we have the party I like to travel, so where ever we have it, if we choose to do so lets get it do it.
I can see that Mass by far has the most people who check in on the site for up coming events, and
I also see Mass being most active with people concerns. So im up to for it fellers and Ladies too. Lets get this party started ASAP

Kevin graemlins/thumbup.gif

If you want a meeting place between Worc and Boston, how about right off the Mass Pike. The Framingham exit, on Rte. 9 at this place called Tin Alley. Its a little restaurant/bar. Or the Wendy's on Rte. 9 right off the 495. You can hit that place up from every direction. Just an idea.
Rome
Hey Rome I know exactly where both of those spots are. It all sounds good to me. I will definitly keep intouch with you. You can be the one to plan the runs up in your neck of the woods since you live up there and know your way around. I've been to Worcester, but its better when some on lives in that area and knows where to be and when to be. See ya soon my friend

PUMATSI 01-14-2003, 09:48 AM Massachusetts is obviously the most active forum around here. I can't wait till spring. I am very excited to get riding again, especially in a group. The last time I had a bike it was 1993 Kanatuna600. I had nobody to ride with so I traded it for a Conquest. I traded the Conquest for my wife(bad move) images/icons/frown.gif .
Anyways, I will probably the slowest one out there when we start ridin'. I need to hurry up and finish my cosmetics. Does any one know where I can get my gas tank sandblasted for cheap.
Keep me up on the rides graemlins/thumbup.gif

I have found a friend who can do the sandblasting for me unfortunately he is about 1 hour away. It may be easier if you could do it for me. I would not be ready for any paint soon but it is nice to have an idea of the price.
Thanks in advance, graemlins/cheers.gif

I want to see if its possible to hook up with you as well and see what you have to offer in painting and price wise. If its cool with you. Get at me if you get a chance. graemlins/thumbup.gif

Korn007 01-16-2003, 06:54 PM I will do the paintwork for next to nothing. I can do fade jobs really well and im experimenting with ghost flames currently. Any solid color you want is easy to do.

I would love a Patriots theme but could probably not afford something that custom. I am currently removing all of the decals from the plastic and sanding them as smooth as I can get them with 600grit paper. Do I need to do this or can you do something better?
Korn007 01-22-2003, 04:50 PM do u want to keep the factory decals if u do I can actually paint the bike with them on. You can sand the decals lightly with 1000 grit paper and the rest of the bike with 800 then mask off the decals paint the bike and clear the whole bike stickers and all and everything will look like new. Its up to you, if u dont have any marks and big scratches on the plastic just sand it with 800 till its dull you dont have to go through the clear or the paint. Paint sticks best to paint so just get it smoothe with 800 and leave it.
PUMATSI 01-24-2003, 07:07 AM I have taken most of the decals off already with the intent of using a new set. The decals were too damaged overall to keep them. I'll give you a call as soon as I get my shit together.
