I have an 1989 750 that has been bored out to an 1100. The bike was set up for drag racing and has a 6inch extended swingarm. I got this bike for a little of nothing and want to fix it up basically to learn. Anyways the bike is in pretty good shape and runs like a stripped a@# ape. I need some advice about leaving the swing-arm extended or should I try to find a stock swingarm to put back on it. Also, can anyone suggest a place to find older parts, minor odds and ends for a bike this old.............thanks Angel

I had an 89 750 (to this day my fav gixxer) with an 87 1100 motor in it. That was the 1052 cc not the 1127cc.

My stock swingarm used to "flex" a little (per my peers who would watch me from behind) whenever I would really get into it.

Didn't really bother me much. Wheelies occaisionally seemed a little crooked in 2nd but it never caused any major issues.
