Just getting a feel for who is doing the trackday at Firebird on Sunday Feb. 12. Im thinking about it. My new trailer has not showed up, so im hesitant to sign up just yet.

I am new to track days too, I have gone to two at firebird and had a blast. There are 2 trackdays 1 put on by aztrackday.com Feb 12th and the other by team arizona on Feb 5th.

I may be making the 12th trackday, as always, I will be there spectating if I am not riding.

Yeah I do.The last time I raced I was moved up into the advanced group,but I think ill race one season in super street just to get my rythm back and then jump back into advanced.

im gonna try to go as well. depends on if there is a race license clinic at the race the following weekend and/or if i get on as a corner worker.

been concentrating on school and having to work haha. im also scheming for ways to actually race. i gotta call today and see if they have the licensing clinic at the races coming up here. if they do then ill be doin that jsut to get it out of the way so i can concetrate on the race readying the old lady. oh and i need to buy a truck so i can make the bike track only

oh and i forgot to ask were you there this last trackday on the bondurant track? if not, make sure you go next time they are able to run there. its about the coolest track i can think of in az. its probably more fun than main cause it has elevation changes and stuff like that.

No bike and trailer werent here yet. That was the only thing holding me back. I hated to miss that one.

oh man you should have taken ur 750. it was so much more fun than i thought. altho the pavement wasnt the best quality since cars mainly run on it they dont have to keep it so smooth. almost ate shit a couple times on the seams.

Does anyone know if I can park an RV at Firebird? Yes, I have a bike too, just thought I'd save on the hotel.

Literbox - - - parking an RV overnight at Firebird is probably a no go, liability reasons. They are already beginning to set up the raceway for the NHRA races in 3 weeks, so who knows. There is a park and ride (a nice one in awhatukee just 1 mile north of Firebird) down the street from my house that you most likely could park at. I doubt any police officers would give you hard time. There is also no way any of the hotels nearby would know if you were a guest or not and you could just park in their lots.

you can park the rv at the trck during the day and just park it somewhere else to sleep. i usually just sleep in whatever truck i haul the bike in.

oh for race weekends you can park overnight im pretyt sure but not for trackdays, those are daytime only

Pretty good turnout yesterday, there were some fast mother f*ckers in the advanced group testing for the first race of the season next week. FAST!

what group do you guys run with? itd be fun to go out and play a little with people i knew or sorta knew next time im at the track. its not quite as fun to go out and just ride around alone. probably faster but fun is just as good sometimes.

i ran superstreet on suday, but not again. im going intermediate next time. i have an sv, so all the guys would tear by me on the straight, jam on the breaks and then walk the bike through the corners, i had to actually break mid corner from coming into their rear tire, and they could not keep a decent line. one guy turned like 3 times in one turn.

sooo. my bike my not be the quickest, but i want to run withsome better guys next time who won't wreck right in front of me because they dont know their capabilities.

Unfortunately I have not ridden a track day in sometime, so they are going to make me run in the beginners group for a session or two before I will be allowed to move up. Sunday I would have ridden in the intermediate group, the advanced were WAY 2 FAST with guys like Stone prepping for race weekend next week. The beginners group looked rather slow and even some in intermediate should not have been there, horrible lines, bad throttle control, just plain slow.

I am all about having fun and riding with friends, so I will ride in whatever group you all ride in if we all go out.
