bolts ons good for money. there are limits tho. as long as your not a superheavyweight and running over 400hp then bolt ons are okay.

people talk bad about bolt on extensions but i have them and know many people that also have them and never had problem at all.i have a 1000 and i took off a my extended arm and reinstalled the factory arm with extensoins cause i wanted t go 9" instead of the 6" .i wouldnt put them on a turbo buse but they are fine for a stock busa.........i do have a 0-6" adams extended swingarm that is of a gsxr1000.i heard it will fit but will only be extended 5" instead of 6" cause the stock busa arm is a inch longer then a 1000..its already polished and has a longer chain ......david.larry@comcast.net i'll sell it for a little more then extensions cost

Locally we have a lot of guys on busas running 6" bolt on extensions and NOS. Some are fly weights and others or normal (200-220 lbs). They have not had any problems. Bolt ons or a good drag race investment.

Check with Dwayne at Cycle Concepts too - he did a kick-A job on extending my swingarm for me last winter, and IIRC he's offering this service to gixxer.com members for ~$450. (I hope I remembered that correctly).

eh screw it busas r slow neways unless heavily modified :-p...... but seriously
do u plan on riding this thing on the street? if so the bolt ons r a waste of ttime.. think about this.. u pay 400-600 for bolt ons right? then u have to get an extended chain right? ok say u wanna go ride with some buds. well the bike is gonna handle like complete ass with a 6-12" ext. so what do u do about it? take off the exts.? then try to shorten the chain so u can go ride? screw that dude... the easiest solution and cheapest and most economical... buy u a set of wee bars.. they run about 250-350 and whala... u can leave the stock length chain.. go race etc etc. and in 5 mins they UNBOLT and u can go ride with ur buddies.. easy breezy.. and it wont handle like ass.. just my .02 dont flame me fellas :-p

Just for information.....wheelie bars won't be very effective with a street tire. When launching on a bar the front tire comes off the bround 1" or 2. With a street tire being rounded you tend to go one way or the other, not in a straight line and put uneven loading on the bars that could have adverse effects.

not effective huh? well lets see i ran a street tyre for several months and didnt have a problem goin str8.. so i dunno . maybe u should stop leanin to one side http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif as far as even loads.. b4 every launch i coat the wheels with shoe polish and both sides show eaual wear so i dunno.. i now run a 7"m/t slick only for the fact that i wanted more traction and i dont ride it on the street anymore.. and yes balla i still got the 600 http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif best time to date is a 6.13 at 114 1/8 mile.. best 60ft. is a 1.4
