I was at VIR for Code's two day camp and loved it. Nice pic in the rollercoaster. I love the switch backs from turn 4 till under the bridge, but I hated turn 4. I wish I would have gotten my Gixxer on that track (maybe). But the ZX6R was perfect learning tool.
I like VIR a lot better than Mid OH, pavement is in better condition. The bump after the bridge as you start up the hill and the rough pavement where the south course meets are the only two bad areas. No concrete patches to deal with like at Mid OH.

Ye-haa, Chris, I loved the T4-5 combo and the bump leading into T7. T14 still has me baffled though. images/icons/grin.gif

Yeah turn 14 is a strange one. Coming up on it, it looks tight, yet the corner opens up blindly down the hill.
I never could get 15 right to set up 16 and both 17 and 17 a to the max. although I was doing 17 in 3rd gear with the engine rolling from 10k rpm to almost redline on exit with the knee on the deck. Could do more but the bumps tight on the apex always gave me a un-nerving feeling.
My best section was the 8-12 where Nicky crashed on sunday.
Very technical, thinking course to ride fast.

Does the $595 1 day Code school that includes the bike also include insurance for the bike etc.? In other words, are there other costs I should be aware of?

You had like five bikes there..

No Bull the $595 does not include insurance on the bikes. You can give them a check for $750 to cover the insurance, and as long as you don't wreck it will never get cashed. Also if you do wreck they will only take what they need to fix the bike, and $750 is the max they will take.
And $200 insurance if you use their leathers.
During my two days there were 3 student wrecks and one instructor went down.
So the total price for using their bike is $645 with $950 deposit (check or credit card #)
Or $595 and $750 deposit if you have their leathers.

CHIPZ, actually I bought an "old" bike from Tapeworks Racing (Russell). He had all the yellow bikes there and I pitted with him. Oh, I mean, Yeah- those are all MY bikes !!! images/icons/grin.gif
