: My new & improved Race Day Pics (now with lean added)
Ok... I found some pics taken on the Race Day Sunday at Vegas. Tube's pictures were taken on the previous day, during the race school (on my cool down lap, in the straightaway, under a waving yellow... graemlins/laugh.gif ) Still not the best, but... images/icons/rolleyes.gif And yes - that is me graemlins/laugh.gif . I had my AK Composites hand-delivered Saturday. I put 'em on Sunday morning before the races.

Thanks, Poacher! images/icons/grin.gif
Here are a couple more stills taken out of the film my GF took. Qualities not real good - she took about 30 stills out, and these were the only ones that were clear enough to post:

Besides, I don't think your photos need any editing, Litespeed images/icons/wink.gif . I've seen you and seen your results. You're pretty damn fast graemlins/thumbup.gif
BTW - Where were you in Vegas? I looked for you, but couldn't find you? Were you there? If so, where were you pitted?

If so, where were you pitted?[/QB]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I missed the Vegas round because I had to work out of town the preivous week and the person that crashed my Kawasaki didn't have it ready when I got back. It's fine now and so is the 51 so I will definately be in Phoenix. I was thinking about taking the 51 out in Hwt Superbike (it's got slicks so I can't run Supersport). Also, I haven't seen much lean out of either bike yet. On an average race weekend I will probably touch my right knee slider less than a dozen times and haven't touched my left one other than the crash images/icons/smile.gif . I guess I must be making up all my time somewhere else...
poacher 09-19-2002, 10:11 AM Uh...guys? Your pix are cool and all that, but for cryin out loud...start yer own thread. Don't bastardize Lean's. Post up yer own pix and we'll all ooh and ahh over em. I promise. graemlins/thumbup.gif
Hammer - I have absolutely no idea why you can't see 'em images/icons/confused.gif Sometimes I'm confronted with the same thing - all I see are red Xs, while everyone else is commenting on the pics.
No problem with the other photos... I like the other pics! cr133 - I dig your paint scheme. And that little 2-stroke is too cool graemlins/thumbup.gif I love watching those featherweight bikes entering turns at the insane velocities they're capable of!
Litespeed - I just HAVE to lean the bike over that far. It's not that I necessarily want to - but I still don't have the hanging-off thing down well enough yet. Unfortunately, lean angle does not equal speed, a lesson I was taught by more than a few amatuer riders and all of the experts images/icons/wink.gif images/icons/rolleyes.gif
Thanks for having my back, though, Poacher! graemlins/thumbup.gif

cr133r 09-19-2002, 03:49 PM Lean,
All it takes is some creative masking and a trip to Home Depot(Rustoleum paint in a can)... Once you clear it(again with Rustoleum), it looks AWESOME. Can't really tell it came from a can either... Plus touch ups are gonna be easy(knock on wood).
I'm gonna be doing Litespeed's ZX6r bodywork when he figures out how he wants it done.

Mydogfarted 09-20-2002, 10:54 AM Lean,
I found it easier to get off the seat when I started putting a little more weight on the pegs and less on my ass. Made it easier to "slide" off and carry a lot more speed with less lean.
One of my friends also suggested to me that I spray a little Honda Polish on seat of my leathers. Makes them a little slippery. Didn't notice it work so well with a foam pad but should with a stock seat. Another friend said Reg Pridmore suggested baby powder.
Of course, I want to be able to lean like Nicky Haden and wear holes in the elbows of my leathers!
graemlins/bounce.gif
cr133... I can't wait to see Litespeed's bike once you do it. Very nice for a spray-can job!! graemlins/thumbup.gif Are you going to be at Firebird Oct 5&6?
MyDogFarted (and I think I can smell it... uuggh), I appreciate the advice. But, to my chagrine, the only reason I have problems now is that I'm too damn fat images/icons/frown.gif 20lbs ago I had no problem moving around on the bike. Now it's just cumbersome. I have a bad hip at times, which makes it very difficult to hang off when I'm weighted down like this, particularly in right hand turns. But I'm on a strict diet now. By the beginning of next season that problem will be solved.
bmfgsxr 09-21-2002, 01:38 PM looking good bro. keep it up. graemlins/thumbup.gif
